BIPV-Booster - Game changer for façade-integrated PV systems: Development of proof-free constructions regarding fire protection
The central result of the project will be the development of a catalogue of “proof-free constructions” with regard to fire protection for façade-integrated photovoltaic systems, particularly for the more difficult case of high-rise buildings. These constructions will be defined in the project and tested in fire tests. The fire tests are to be supplemented by electrical and material-related module tests before and after the fire tests.

GreenDeal4Real - Improving the thermal comfort in mixed-use areas through cost-effective green infrastructure
In Vienna's 22nd district, a mixed-use construction project was used as an experimental space to simulate the effects of green structures and analyse their implementation in a real planning environment. The simulations, the planning laboratory and close cooperation with the developer made it possible to take microclimatic effects into account as early as the planning stage and to optimally compensate for the negative effects of additional sealing through greening.
Rückblick: Forschung findet Stadt - Workshop im Rahmen der Smart Cities Week 2015
Der Frage, wie Ergebnisse der Energie- und Gebäudeforschung in der Stadtplanung zur breiten Anwendung kommen können, gingen etwa 60 TeilnehmerInnen beim Workshop auf der Smart Cities Week in Salzburg nach. ForscherInnen aus internationalen und nationalen Projekten stellten ihre Aktivitäten vor und diskutierten, wie diese in Zukunft stärker verlinkt werden können.

Development of measurement methods to determine the influence of greening measures on greened versus non-greened reference objects with contemporary building standards under uniform framework conditions. Proposals for adaptations of calculation models or standards to e.g. enable an integration in the energy performance certificate.
