Innovative energy services in the sector trade and industry
Systematic reduction of THG in the sector trade and industry through market economical energy services. Research project to improve the energy efficiency of the end user as well as the integration and utilization of renewable energy in the energy service models.
RepaMobil - Reduction of market barriers for product-service-systems, especially repair- and other household services by setting up central service points at big company sites where a lot of potential customers pass by
Feasibility study / implementation concept for central repair- and service points (mobile or stationary) for repair- and other household services located directly at big company sites; raising the demand for sustainable services by private households.
LehB:klimafit! Live in existing buildings today: climate fit together
The aim of the project is to explore transferable renovation concepts for the implementation of climate-fit renovations in Vienna. Integrally optimized renovation packages will be developed, which will be optimized in the building ensembles for implementation-probable, climate-friendly overall solutions with the relevant stakeholders.
REal - The laboratory for Integrated Regional Renewable Energy Systems
In the REal project, a holistic, scalable and user-friendly concept was created, whereby sector-coupled, municipal energy systems with 100% renewable energy can be implemented, considering all necessary aspects from planning to operation, reducing design costs and accelerating an Austria-wide implementation.
Eco-efficient Product Service Systems
Step by step methodology for the development of future markets by the introduction of eco-efficient product service systems
NaNu3 - Parametric Planning for a Sustainable Roof (Blue, Grey and Green)
Demonstration of the feasibility and validation of a parametric model that can evaluate the practical and financial feasibility of the combined use of roof areas as well as its microclimate and environmental effectiveness at an early planning stage.
Solar Assisted Heating Networks
An investigation of the economic and ecological usefulness of coupling two CO2 neutral energy sources; solar installations for multi-family houses, producing standardised systems concepts and planning guidelines.
Wood-processing employing a superimposition of ultrasonic vibrations
Development of wood-processing techniques employing high-frequency ultrasonic vibrations in terms of applications in the woodworking industry.
SC_micro-quarters – Planning and modernisation of smart city quarters with a view to energy optimisation and a high quality of life
The SC_micro-quarters project demonstrates possibilities for urban planning and urban quarter development with a view to creating a path to a low carbon city with a high quality of life and good resilience, while taking into account existing and proposed buildings, infrastructures and uses. The central element is the modelling of urban structures at micro-quarter level.
e80^3-Buildings - Sub project 3: Development of technology and components
The main objective of the key project "e80^3" was to develop high-performance renovation concepts focusing on plus-energy-buildings. Afterwards these concepts were realized in at least one or two demonstration-projects.
e80^3-Buildings - Sub project 2: Concept development
Based on the selection of suitable demonstration projects in Subproject 1 an innovative concept for passive and active building envelopes and energy supply of so called "Plus Energy Buildings" (renovation) has been developed.
Conference: Smart Grids Week - Linz 2011
May 24th-27th, 2011
Power Tower, Energie AG Oberösterreich, Böhmerwaldstrasse 34021 Linz, AT
The Smart Grids Week - Linz 2011 is to contribute significantly to the development of electricity infrastructure in Austria and to continue the interconnectionprocess with international developments.
IEA SHC Task 70: Low Carbon, High Comfort Integrated Lighting
With the goal of decarbonization and sustainability of buildings in the sense of the circular economy, for integrated lighting systems the so far purely energy-based focus must be broadened to include the entire life cycle, with special consideration of visual and non-visual user requirements. In the task, strategic, technical, and economic information will be developed for the relevant stakeholders and networking activities will be offered.
IEA Hydrogen (Hydrogen TCP)
The Hydrogen TCPs coordinates joint R&D activities with the aim of advancing the development and deployment of safe and sustainable technologies for the production, storage and supply of clean and affordable hydrogen and its derivatives for use in industry, mobility, heating and electricity.
Experiences and attitudes of users as a basis for the development of sustainable housing concepts with high social acceptance
The aim of this project was to a) analyse current experiences of users of ecologically innovative residential buildings ("passive houses", solar houses, etc.) in Austria, b) to evaluate innovative housing concepts in focus groups, and c) to create a model for the continuous participation of users in the innovation process.
Urban consolidation Lehen - Subproject 1: Fundamental study for an intelligent e-monitoring
The goal was to refine the energy monitoring for residential buildings as well as to find possibilities to visualise the energy consumption and continuously compare it with the "target consumption" in order to get a signal in time and thereby to be able to communicate it to the users. Different monitoring systems were investigated and the experience was evaluated.
IEA 4E Annex: Mapping and Benchmarking
In the Mapping and Benchmarking work (formerly M&B Annex) the following product were analyzed: domestic refrigeration (update), dishwashers, settop boxes, transformers and lights, for which this report includes most relevant results and the related M&B publications. It also introduces the 2015-2016 work on motors, liquid chillers, and water boilers.
Basic research on the load bearing capacity and high thermal insulation properties of foam glass granulate
The aim of the scientific investigations is to find the characteristic parameters of foam glass granulate applied as load transfer layer and thermal insulation, to provide the base for the application of a multi functional and economical insulation material at the interface between building and ground for buildings of the future.
IEA SHC Task 55: Integrating Large SHC Systems into DHC Networks
Despite the large potential for integrating large solar thermal plants into district heating and cooling networks, the share of solar heat worldwide is below 1%. The aim of this project was to analyse the technical, economic, and regulatory barriers that hinder a faster market development of such systems, and to propose solutions to support the growing heat market. The results (roadmaps, data, information) are available in the form of fact sheets.
