Sophokles - Solar shading lamellas with photovoltaic coating for climate-neutral, energy-efficient structures

Development of lightweight, strip-like photovoltaic modules that combine shading and emission-free power generation in one monolithic component. The size and module voltage of the photovoltaic blinds can be individually adapted to the conditions of the building. The core of the innovation is an interconnection concept for thin-film solar cells, with which the film-like photovoltaic material can be interconnected in series and in parallel as required.

Pre-cast cantilever balconies represent a particular problem in the thermal renovation of buildings. SynENERGY aims at an innovative, holistic approach to urban district optimization. The project targets a comprehensive analysis of the framework and urban development concept which includes not only optimisation of sustainable energy supply and use but also increased material flows (construction and disposal) at urban district level.

Ecological and Social Efficiency Index - EASEY X

Basing on a model and indicators for valuing sustainability of companies quoted at the prime market of the Vienna stock exchange methods and instruments have been developed to analyse their performance. By the connecting step company data have been collected and analysed by four different methods (SPSS, EVA, SVA, MCA Outranking). On a 100 scores scale five companies exceeded barely the mark 70, 6 rank between 60 and 69 further 5 between 52 and 59. The aim is to launch a sustainability EASEY index 2004 or beginning 2005.
