Innovation & Kosteneffizienz: Kostenoptimale Gebäudestandards für großvolumige Wohngebäude (Inno-Cost)
In diesem Projekt wurden innovative Gebäudestandards hinsichtlich ihrer betriebswirtschaftlichen Aspekte über den Gebäudelebenszyklus untersucht. Anhand von Lebenszykluskostenberechnungen für 40-50 großvolumige Niedrigstenergie- und Passivwohnhäuser basierend auf IST-Daten aus dem laufenden Betrieb wurden erstmals belastbare Grundlagen erarbeitet, die die weitere Marktdurchdringung von innovativen Baustandards im Bereich großvolumiger Wohngebäude wesentlich unterstützen sollen.
Energie - Forschung und Entwicklung / Ausgaben der öffentlichen Hand in Österreich - Erhebung 2004
Die Mitgliedschaft bei der Internationalen Energieagentur (IEA) verpflichtet Österreich zur jährlichen Erfassung aller in Österreich durchgeführten Forschungs- und Entwicklungsprojekte im Energiebereich. Diese jährliche Erhebung stellt nicht nur eine internationale Verpflichtung dar, sondern erlaubt es auch, die Bedeutung der Energieforschung für Österreich herauszuarbeiten sowie Schwerpunktsetzungen zu gestalten und zu überprüfen.

Eco.District.Heat - Potenziale und Restriktionen leitungsgebundener Wärmeversorgung in Stadtquartieren
Ziel des Projektes Eco.District.Heat ist es, eine strategische Entscheidungshilfe für österreichische Städte zu entwickeln, mit der das Themengebiet leitungsgebundene Wärme- (und Kälte-) Versorgung in städtischen Energiekonzepten in Abstimmung mit energieraumplanerischen Fragestellungen aus ganzheitlicher Perspektive bearbeitet werden kann.
Urban Area Parameter – Kennwerte Siedlungsbewertung für Errichtung, Betrieb und Mobilität in klimaverträglichen Siedlungen
Entwicklung und Abstimmung von Kennwerten für die energetische und ökologische Bewertung von Siedlungen auf Basis der Schweizer 2000-Watt-Arealzertifizierung. Die Ergebnisse bilden einen weiteren Baustein zum Aufbau eines Qualitätssicherungssystems für Siedlungen ähnlich der klimaaktiv Deklaration für Gebäude bzw. der e5 Zertifizierung für Gemeinden.
Highlights der Energieforschung 2016: Die Rolle der Wärmepumpe im zukünftigen Energiesystem.
Die Österreichische Technologieroadmap für Wärmepumpen, Wärmepumpenprojekte aus dem Energieforschungsprogramm des Klima- und Energiefonds sowie Stadt der Zukunft und der IEA-Forschungskooperation des BMVIT wurden vorgestellt. Die Vortragsunterlagen stehen zum Download zur Verfügung.

The project objective is the measurement of relevant building values (energy consumption, ...), the evaluation of these values compared with the intended objectives and the optimization of the system based on the measured data. As a special innovation, monitoring the storage of alternatively generated electricity using photovoltaic and wind energy in the form of compressed air must be considered.

Ziel des Projektes ist das Messen von relevanten Gebäudewerten (Energieverbrauch, ...), die Evaluierung dieser Werte im Vergleich mit den angestrebten Zielen und die Optimierung der Anlage aufbauend auf den gemessenen Daten. Als besondere Innovation ist die Begleitung der Speicherung von alternativ erzeugtem Strom mittels Photovoltaik und Windenergie in Form von Druckluft anzusehen.
"ecofashion - Mode mit Zukunft!" - Tagung zum Thema ökologische und soziale Auswirkungen der Textilproduktion
Die Tagung wurde für LehrerInnen in AHS, BHS, Berufs- und Modeschulen sowie Angestellte aus der Textilbranche veranstaltet. Die MultiplikatorInnen erhielten zielgruppenadäquat aufbereitete Informationen und Unterrichtsmaterialien über die ökologischen, sozialen und gesundheitlichen Auswirkungen der Textilproduktion.

The project was intended to promote a change of image related to ecotextiles. A congress provided teachers and education experts with background information and tools for their work, thus leading to a sustainable transfer of knowledge in education.
AR-HES-B – Energy storage, production and recovery of valuable substances in wastewater treatment plants
AR-HES-B develops technologically based concepts of municipal wastewater treatment plants in order to convert them from energy consumers into a hybrid energy provider, energy storage and a provider of resources. The concept enables wastewater plants to turn into an important platform in the regional energy and mass transfer.
Development of microreactor technology for enzymatic processes and application for lactose conversion
Accelerated design of a pilot scale process for enzyme-catalyzed hydrolysis of lactose in whey using microreactor technologies. Development of a prototypical immobilized enzyme microreactor for optimisation of enzymatic reactions; improved gathering of process-relevant parameters for reduced time-to-market and decision support for investment decisions.
Sustainability Research: Internationalisation of an existing Research Model for Sustainable Investment
The project's purpose was to adapt the existing rfu sustainability model for an improved international utilization.
