English, 12 pages
Content Description
The heating sector is of extreme importance for the energy transition as approximately half of the final energy consumption in Austria can be attributed to the generation of heat. 40 % of this consists of space heating and domestic hot water generation. The efficient cooling of buildings is also becoming an increasingly important topic. There is high potential in the building sector to improve energy efficiency by utilising new technologies and switching to renewable energy sources for heating purposes.
