KLIMDO - Gesamtstädtische Energie- und Klimastrategie der Stadt Dornbirn als Grundlage der Erreichung einer Klimaneutralität 2030
Durch die Erhebung relevanter Datengrundlagen, deren Zusammenführung sowie Verräumlichung in einer gesamthaften Datenbank wurde ein aktuelles und fortführbares System zur gesamtstädtischen Energie- und CO2-Bilanzierung sowie entsprechender KPIs entwickelt. Darauf aufbauend konnten durch verschiedene Szenarien die wesentlichsten Stellhebel zur Erreichung der Klimaneutralität erarbeitet werden. Die zentralen Erkenntnisse fließen in die Erstellung einer gesamtstädtischen Energie- und Klimastrategie ein.
KLIMDO - Urban energy and climate strategy of the city of Dornbirn as basis for achieving climate neutrality by 2030
A central goal of the project is to obtain detailed knowledge of energy consumption, energy consumption flows and energy potentials including spatialization in the entire urban araea of Dornbirn. Based on this data, various scenarios are to be elaborated that map possible developments in the city. Subsequently, the basis for an energy and climate strategy based on the vision of climate neutrality will be prepared.

Das Projekt „Villab - Sondierung“ dient der Überprüfung der Machbarkeit eines urbanen Innovationslabors zur Beschleunigung der Transformation Villacher Quartiere in Richtung Klimaneutralität. Die positive Machbarkeit vorausgesetzt, werden die Kooperationen mit relevanten Stakeholdern vertieft und ein Businessplan für ein künftiges Innovationslabor erstellt.
CircularFood - High-quality products through cascading recycling cycles of residual materials from the food industry
The CircularFood project investigates the material and energetic cascading use of organic food residues from Austrian food production. The aim is to develop innovative processes for the extraction of high-quality protein components, liquid biofertilizers, organic plant substrates and peat substitutes in order to promote the circular economy and reduce CO2 emissions.

RENEW SCHOOL Austria: Beispiele und Finanzierungsmodelle zu Schulsanierungen
Für insgesamt 14 österreichische Schulsanierungsprojekte wurden die Finanzierungs- und Kooperationsmodelle bei der erfolgreichen Umsetzung der Sanierungen untersucht und beschrieben. Daraus wurden wichtige Erfolgsfaktoren für zukünftige Sanierungen von Schulen und ähnlichen öffentlichen Gebäuden abgeleitet und mit 10 Beispielschulen in einer Broschüre veröffentlicht. Das Projekt unterstützt die österreichischen Aktivitäten im IEE EU-Projekt RENEW SCHOOL (www.renew-school.eu).
RENEW SCHOOL Austria: Examples and financing models for school renovations
The project aimed at learning from 14 Austrian school buildings, from their financial and cooperation models, meaning successful cooperation between involved parties. The success factors have been derived from these projects and together with 10 best practice schools been published in a brochure. The project supported the Austrian activities in the IEE EU-Projekt RENEW SCHOOL (www.renew-school.eu).

Cities are the place where decarbonization strategies for energy, transport and buildings intersect. A few years ago, the municipality of Innsbruck set up a Smart City Group consisting of staff from the municipality, IIG, IKB and IVB to address this challenge. The goal of INN'F4UM is to develop a step-by-step plan to achieve climate neutrality for the city by 2030, building on an up-to-date representation of energy and resource flows together with the University of Innsbruck.

Die Europäische Union und viele Länder in Europa haben begonnen einzelne Maßnahmen in Richtung „Erhöhung der Reparaturquote" zu ergreifen. Diese Arbeit erhebt mithilfe von Umfragen und Interviews, die mit Unterstützung von Kontakten des seit fast 30 Jahren existierenden Netzwerks „PREPARE" zustande kamen, solche Maßnahmen in anderen europäischen Ländern – v.a. im Hinblick auf „Best-Practice-Beispiele" und „Lessons learned" – und analysiert ihre Übertragbarkeit auf Österreich.
GameOpSys - Gamification for optimizing the energy consumption of buildings and higher-level systems
The central goal is the development of a mobile application that enables the energy optimization and planning of buildings, neighborhoods and higher-level energy systems through the participation of the user and the user as a new source of data and information. The development of the application is strongly transdisciplinary and integrates mathematical methods of simulation and optimization as well as psychological aspects of user behavior in order to develop new business models and open up new markets.
