CELL4LIFE - Reversible SOCs as a link between electricity, heat and gas networks to increase the self-sufficiency and resilience of neighbourhoods
A system consisting of a solid oxide fuel cell and a Machine Learning-based control system for increasing efficiency and minimizing degradation is being developed. As a link between all energy supply networks, the system is intended to increase the self-sufficiency and resilience of plus-energy districts.

Waldfonds - Start von Ausschreibungen zur verstärkten Verwendung des Rohstoffes Holz
Die Errichtung des Waldfonds wurde 2020 von der Bundesregierung beschlossen und mit 350 Mio. Euro budgetiert. In den kommenden zwei Jahren sollen diese Mittel unter anderem Maßnahmen zur Stärkung der Verwendung des Rohstoffes Holz zugutekommen. Im Rahmen der Bioökonomie soll die Transformation der Wirtschaft hin zur Klimaneutralität unterstützt werden.

GREeNvaluation - Real-time monitoring and performance evaluation
The aim of the project was the development of the GREeNvaluation toolkit, as a precursor to the implementation of green and liveable cities. The visualization and accounting (cost / benefit) of green infrastructure services makes the benefits more tangible and understandable. The GREeNvaluation toolkit aims to create awareness far beyond the target areas by means of target group-specific communication formats.
MICall19 - Joint Call zu integrierten Energiespeichersystemen
Am 18. September 2019 haben die europäische Joint Programming Platform ERA-NET Smart Energy Systems und die globale Initiative Mission Innovation ihren ersten gemeinsamen Joint Call zu integrierten Energiespeichersystemen eröffnet. Weltweit beteiligen sich 21 Länder und Regionen an der Forschungsinitiative mit einem Budget von mehr als 22 Millionen Euro.

Die Stadt St. Pölten sieht in Vertical Farming großes Potential hinsichtlich der Ziele des Smart City-Konzeptes durch die Verknüpfung von lokaler Lebensmittelproduktion, Lebensqualität und Reduktion des Ressourcenverbrauchs. Um dieser Zielsetzung gerecht zu werden sollen Vertikale Farmen an Bestandsgebäuden entwickelt werden. Öko-soziale und sozio-ökonomische Betrachtungen spielen hierbei mit eine tragende Rolle.

The city of St. Pölten forsees great potential in Vertical Farming with regard to the objectives related to the concept of the Smart City program - linking local food production, quality of life by reducing resource consumption. This has to be evaluated by combining Vertical Farms with existing living buildings. Eco-social and socio-economic considerations play an important role in this process.
