Development of transferable concepts for energy-plus quarters as substantial preparatory work for the implementation of an energy showcase quarter in Vienna based on six concrete areas. CiQuSo - City Quarters with optimised solar hybrid heating and cooling systems
The project CiQuSo aimed to develop, evaluate and optimize concepts for solar energy systems to provide energy for buildings and cities. The applicability of the developed methods and concepts were shown as an example at Itzling, a part of Salzburg city.
Innovative moth-protection system for sheepwool insulation
This project developed a novel "bio-pesticide"-formula by screening plant extracts and minerals for their strong repellant activity in order to protect sheepwool insulation from cloth moth infestation. It was investigated and examined by state-of-the-art-technology that the anti-moth-mixture extracted from plants and minerals, acts as a valid alternative to existing pest control agents.

The experiments studied sensors’ performance under typical air polluting activities occurring in homes. The presentation will also discuss pros and cons with respect to sensors’ suitability for demand control of residential ventilation.
