GeoDatKlim - Vorbereitung Reallabor: IoT und Geo-KI-gestütztes Datenmanagement für die klimaneutrale Stadt

Vorbereitung eines Reallabors, das es zahlreichen Akteur:innen ermöglicht, den tatsächlichen Nutzen urbaner Daten bzw. deren KI-unterstützter Analyse für eine klimaneutrale Stadt zu beforschen. Mittels Klärung strategischer, technischer und rechtlicher Aspekte sowie im Wege von Potenzialanalysen entlang relevanter Anwendungsfälle werden die Rahmenbedingungen für eine offene, mehrjährige Forschungsumgebung (Reallabor) in Wien auf den Weg gebracht.

GeoDatKlim - Preparation of an innovation lab - IoT and geo-AI-supported data management for the climate-neutral city

Preparation of a real laboratory that will enable numerous actors to research the actual benefits of urban data or their AI-supported analysis for a climate-neutral city. By clarifying strategic, technical and legal aspects as well as potential analyses along relevant use cases, the framework conditions for an open, multi-year research environment (real laboratory) in Vienna are set in motion.

Biotope City - construction manual for the green city of the future

"Biotope City" is an overall concept for the implementation of comprehensive urban greening with the aim of using the regenerative mechanisms of nature. With this approach, quality of life is to be comprehensively, sustainably and cost-effectively increased and resilience against extreme weather events in cities will be improved. The project aims to generate realistic components of a "construction manual" for the green city of the future, which are generalizable and transferable.

Human Centric Lighting (HCL) stellt die positiven visuellen und biologischen Wirkungen des Lichtes auf den Menschen in den Mittelpunkt, verbraucht dabei aber sehr viel Energie durch den ineffizienten Einsatz von Beleuchtungskomponenten sowie unzureichende Nutzung von Tageslicht. In LessIsMore wird testweise eine vorbildhafte HCL-Beleuchtung installiert und evaluiert.

RAARA - Residential Area Augmented Reality Acoustics

Populations with high exposure to noise emissions will generally agree: Noise means trouble. The aim of project RAARA is to develop a simple, intuitive albeit accurate method for reducing noise imissions in urban areas. This method involves placing a noise-source into its planned real-world destination prior to actual installation, by means of augmented reality. The ensuing sound-imissions are then made tangible by means of sound effects and coloured visualizations. This exceptional approach will facilitate planning for heating and cooling devices and thus reduce noise pollution in urban areas. This, in turn, can contribute to an increase in societal acceptance and investment in renewable energy.

M-DAB - Materialressourcen der Stadt digitalisieren, analysieren und nachhaltig bewirtschaften

Im Forschungsvorhaben wurde untersucht, wie uns digitale Technologien unterstützen können die bestehenden und zukünftigen Materialressourcen im Bauwesen qualitativ (Baustoffe und deren Recycling) und quantitativ (Baustoffmengen) festzumachen.

The research project investigates how digital technologies can support us in determining the existing and future material resources in construction qualitatively (building materials and their recycling) and quantitatively (quantities of building materials).

BTTAB - Breitentest von energieeffizienten Demonstrationsgebäuden mit thermisch aktivierten Bauteilen

Noch nicht beforschte, bauteilaktivierte Gebäude in möglichst allen Bundesländern und Anwendungskategorien werden einem Monitoring unterzogen, welches neben Betriebsdaten auch Erfahrungen von Beteiligten miteinbindet. Ziel dieser Untersuchung ist es, die unterschiedlichsten Anwendungen der Technologie „Bauteilaktivierung“ allgemein zu betrachten sowie mit Hilfe von geeigneten Bewertungskriterien die Pilotprojekte zu bewerten und miteinander zu vergleichen.

BTTAB - Broad-based testing of energy-efficient demonstration buildings with thermally activated building components

Buildings with thermal building component activation that have not yet been researched in as many federal states and application categories as possible will be monitored, which will include operating data as well as the experiences of those involved. The aim of this study is to take a general look at the various applications of the thermal building component activation technology and to evaluate and compare the pilot projects with the help of suitable evaluation criteria.
