Highlights of building design and technology in Austria will be presented. The event is targeting trade delegates, building professionals and public authorities. The first passive office tower worldwide and the first plus-energy office set outstanding examples.
Development of a clay - buildingboard with a surface ready to paint
Development of a building board consisting of a wood fibre board, coated with clay-plaster reinforced by natural plant-fibres (BioFaserLehm) for reinforcing planking of timber-constructions and also for statical not stressed inner wall surfaces.
LightFromFacade - Optimized Day- and Artificial Lighting by Facades
Multfunctional facades with integrated artificial- and daylighting systems had been simulated and evaluated regarding lighting and energy (lighting quality and energy demand). The results create basics for further façade developments and for academic education.
Network material ecology for hospitals
The use of sustainable building materials is a key issue for sustainable development of the building sector. Emission free indoor air, minimized embodied energy of construction materials and health risk for construction workers are three main aspects. Between five hospital operators in Austria, Germany and Switzerland a practical exchange of experience focused on material ecology will be initiated and moderated.
