Efficient use of biogenic resources

For a sustainable, climate-friendly economic system it is essential to put biogenic raw materials to work in such a way that no resources are wasted. Austrian researchers and firms are busy developing and testing new technological approaches to employing biomass in sustainable and environmentally friendly ways. Pioneering strategies such as cascading uses
of biomass are aimed at achieving a maximum of profit, in terms of material and energy, with the least possible consumption of resources.
