Manage_GeoCity - Entwicklung einer Methodik zur koordinierten Nutzung und Bewirtschaftung der oberflächennahen Erdwärme in urbanen Räumen
Anhand der Modellregion Graz wurde eine Methodik für die koordinierte Nutzung und Bewirtschaftung oberflächennaher Erdwärme für Wärme- und Kühlanwendungen sowie saisonaler Speicherung in urbanen Räumen entwickelt. Dabei wurden Grundwasserströmungen, unterschiedliche geologische Verhältnisse, Wärme- und Kühlbedarf, Wärmeeintrag von Solaranlagen und betrieblicher Abwärme und die Möglichkeiten der saisonalen Speicherung von Wärme im Untergrund berücksichtigt.
Climate protection in Schools: a prototype for targeted oriented knowledge transfer for students on the basis of energy efficient buildings
The saying "Was Hänschen nicht lernt, lernt Hans nimmermehr." which can be translated with the English saying "You can´t teach an old dog new tricks." especially applies to the issue of "climate protection" in general. Therefore children must be made aware of the importance of the subject from the beginning on in order to live their life efficiently and environmentally friendly. Based on a research and on an evaluation of existing teaching materials teachers and students will develop, how students understand the topic "climate protection" with a focus on "building and living in the future" the easiest way.

Stadtumbau Lehen - Subprojekt 6a und 6b: Energieeffiziente Wohnquartiere durch Community Organizing und sozialorganisatorische Maßnahmen im Stadtumbau
Mittels Community Organizing als Prozess wird aktivierende Öffentlichkeitsarbeit im Stadtteil konzeptioniert und durchgeführt. BewohnerInnen im Neubau- und Sanierungsbereich werden in der Vorbereitung, der Bauphase verstärkt informiert und einbezogen. Feedback zu PlanerInnen und Bauträgern, sowie wissenschaftliche Aufarbeitung der Erkenntnisse und Erfahrungen aus diesem Prozess sind ebenfalls Teil des Projekts.

Die Optimierung des Energieeinsatzes bei der Herstellung von ölschlussvergütetem Draht soll durch experimentelle Untersuchungen der Möglichkeiten der Abwärmenutzung der Öfen und durch bessere Wärmedämmung an den Bädern sowie der Untersuchung von Möglichkeiten Blei aus dem Anthrazit auszuscheiden erfolgen.

CO-MOD soll hier ein flexibles, modulares Konzept entwickeln (mit Anbieter-Netzwerken, verschiedene Finanzierungsvarianten inkl. "Großeltern"-Contracting, Vertragsmodulen), das auch auf die individuellen Gegebenheiten kleinerer Objekte eingehen kann.
