International online workshop on the implementation of Carbon Capture in the industry sector. As part of the IEA IETS Task 21, industry experts and researchers will share their latest information on carbon capture technologies.
IEA HPT Annex 68: Industrial High-Temperature Heat Pumps
High-temperature heat pumps are key elements in the decarbonisation of industrial process heat. In this project, existing activities to promote the market ramp-up of this technology will be continued. An existing technology database of manufacturers, their close-to-market or market-available products and demonstration projects will be continued. Moreover, recommendations for sector-specific solutions and training materials will be developed and disseminated to relevant target groups.

IEA 4E Annex: Electric Motor Systems Task 3: New Industrial Developments and Digitalisation (Working period 2021 - 2024)
In Task 3 of the Electric Motor Systems Annex "New Industrial Developments and Digitalisation", the development of technical and political recommendations for the use of digital technologies for increased energy efficiency in electric motor systems is planned. For this purpose, industrial use cases will be described, user interviews conducted and policy instruments analysed.

LEKOECOS - combined economic-ecological life cycle assessment model
The consumption of ecological and economic resources over the whole life cycle is supposed to be anticipated and optimised in the design process of buildings and refurbishments. A combined life cycle assessment model together with an economic-ecological base element catalogue considering the klima:aktiv criteria was developed based on the structure of the life cycle cost model LEKOS and the ecological valuation tool Ecosoft.
Optimization of methane production - the Methane Energy Value Model
The biogas production from energy crops will be analyzed and optimized. Energy crops are grown in an environmentally friendly and sustainable crop rotation system. The project provides a secure basis of data for the biogas production and utilisation. Farmers will invest more into the biogas technology.
