ongoing
Summary
Due to sharply raised energy prices and lots of discussions concerning the progressing climate change, the use of renewable energies and energy efficient technologies climbed significant. Closely linked to this fact the total requirement of highly trained employees in every mentioned area raised.
The project aim on one hand is to evaluate and adapt current trainings in the field of biomass, solar thermal energy, photovoltaic, heat pumps and ventilation and on the other hand to define new potential trainings in case of further demand.
Studies certify an enormous potential for the environmental industry - until 2030 this industry could be the 3rd most important industry in Austria. In the next 10 years, there will be a demand of 20.000 additional professionals in this field. Lots of this newly-created jobs will be in the field of renewable energies and energy efficient technologies.
To promote this trends and to avert the danger of having not enough professionals, existing trainings should be improved and the basic quantity increased. Beside the evaluation of existing trainings, the involvement of economic and industry is a key point of the project. In one-to-one appointments with most important representatives the medium-term requirements will be levied. Based on this results already existing trainings can be adapted and overlapping contents in combined modules summarized.
In addition to the development and revision of the existing trainings an enhancement of training offers must be achieved and the pool of referents enlarged. Necessary requirements for referents will be defined and contact to potential candidates approached. The application and distribution of the trainings is made in cooperation with educational establishments, federations and the guild. To ensure that the training sessions are offered accurately even after the duration of this project, a business plan is developed.
