Innovative Energietechnologien in Österreich - Marktentwicklung 2016
Im Jahr 2016 führten ungünstige Rahmenbedingungen zu einem weiteren Rückgang der Absatzzahlen. Marktrückgänge waren in den Bereichen Biomassekessel und -öfen, Solarthermie und Windkraft zu verzeichnen. Die Photovoltaik- und die Wärmepumpenbranche konnten die Absatzzahlen des Vorjahres halten. Alleine im Bereich der Biomasse-Brennstoffe konnte der Absatz um 8,6 % gesteigert werden.

Development of an optimal strategy to open up Austria's biomass potential until the year 2050. The optimal strategy maximizes the reduction of GHG emissions. Provision of an action plan for a temporal dynamic implementation of this strategy.
Sustainable energy supply for Austria
Rapidly increasing energy consumption and decreasing resources of fossil fuels lead to dramatical economical, ecological and social problems.This study identified the feasible long term potential of renewable energy sources. Then ways were developed how to supply the demand for future energy consumption with renewable energy sources, despite increasing energy services.

Evaluation of mid- and longterm potential for growth and exports in various sectors of renewable energy systems. Analysis of corresponding impacts on employment and value added in Austria. Recommendations for research- and technology development.

Development of a Photovoltaic Roadmap for Austria - a study with the intention to screen the opportunities, economical potential as well as the barriers of the promising technology Photovoltaics as basis for strategic decisions in energy relevant policies.
Agriculture 2020
Agriculture will become an important supplier of sustainable energy services for society. However, this sector can only fulfil this role if it operates on the base of sustainable energy provision itself. The project will determine the necessary measures to achieve this state for a concrete regional setting (eastern Styria) by the year 2020.
Renewable energy in Austria: Modelling possible development trends until 2020
The project investigates possible economic, social and environmental effects of a sustainable energy policy. Within a participatory modelling process a sustainability model is used to simulate different energy scenarios (with a focus on renewable energy technologies) for Austria until 2020.
