LenA circular houses - Demonstration des circular architecture design process für zirkuläres und reuse Bauen anhand des Leuchtturmprojekts LenA
Das Hauptziel ist die Erforschung und Demonstration der positiven Klimawirkung durch Wiederverwendung in der Bauindustrie. Durch diesen (Wieder-)Einsatz von Bauteilen, -produkten und stoffgruppen lassen sich große Anteile der, durch die Baubranche entstehenden, Emissionen vermeiden und zur angestrebten Klimaneutralität beitragen. Ein weiterer Aspekt betrifft die Verbindungen der Bauteile so zu gestalten, dass diese rückbau- und wiederverwendbar sind.
ReSpace – Reclaiming Spaces
ReSpace entwickelt ein KI-gestütztes Modell zur Identifikation, Kategorisierung und Aktivierung versiegelter Flächen. Dabei werden bestehende Datenquellen (Luft- und Satellitenbilder, Mobilfunkdaten, Grundbucheinträge) integriert und mit einer dynamischen Analyse angereichert, um evidenzbasierte Handlungsempfehlungen abzuleiten.

Das Projekt Klimagärten³ widmet sich der klimafitten Gestaltung von Gärten und Grünräumen in Österreich. Im Fokus steht die Aktivierung des bislang ungenutzten Klimaschutzpotenzials privater und öffentlicher Gärten. Durch Forschung, praktische Erprobung und gesellschaftliche Vernetzung werden Wege aufgezeigt, wie Gärten als CO₂-Senken wirken und die Biodiversität stärken können.
PersonAI - User-Centered AI-based energy services built on personal preference models
Durchführung einer breit angelegten Langzeitstudie mit 40-50 Personen zur Erstellung von persönlichen Komfortprofilen zur Behaglichkeitssteigerung in Gebäuden. Die persönlichen Komfortprofile werden anschließend in einem Proof-of-Concept als Inputgrößen in die Gebäuderegelung rückgeführt.
NEBKrit - Quality criteria for buildings and neighbourhoods on the basis of the New European Bauhaus
Develop criteria of aesthetics and social inclusion based on the values of the New European Bauhaus to complement existing sustainability criteria in order to evaluate buildings and neighbourhoods more broadly. MARGRET - Measurement of greened/non-greened objects for the adaptation of calculation models
Development of measurement methods to determine the influence of greening measures on greened versus non-greened reference objects with contemporary building standards under uniform framework conditions. Proposals for adaptations of calculation models or standards to e.g. enable an integration in the energy performance certificate.
Urban Sky - Satellite-based planning and analysis applications for climate-neutral and resilient cities
The project investigates how satellite data can support cities and municipalities (e.g. urban development, spatial energy planning, mobility transition). Based on demand and potential analyses, service concepts will be derived that integrate existing data and tools with satellite applications. The results will be presented in a study and a Space4Cities implementation roadmap.
AnergieLeichtGemacht - Development of Scalable Implementation Models for Geothermal Anergy Networks to Decarbonize the Building Sector
The project develops standardized technical, organizational, and financial implementation models for anergy networks to enable sustainable heating solutions in cities and municipalities. By identifying suitable settlement typologies, analyzing existing framework conditions, and engaging stakeholders, scalable solutions are created. The goal is to reduce planning and implementation barriers and facilitate investments in local anergy networks.
IntEGrity - Integration and Diffusion of Energy Communities
IntEGrity aims at fully integrating energy communities in the existing energy landscape in order to push for efficient diffusion and to use the potential of the positive contribution to energy awareness, efficiency and climate neutrality. In order to fully enable integration, the project explores innovative developments on three levels - social level, energy community level and service level.
InSite - Monitoring and evaluation of innovative demonstration buildings
In the "Stadt der Zukunft" and "Smart City Initiative" programmes, a large number of demonstration projects have been implemented in recent years. To be able to evaluate the developed innovations in a uniform and comparable form and to make the knowledge gained accessible to implementers, InSite subjects 10 selected objects from these programmes to energy and ecological monitoring as well as sociological surveys over a period of 24 months. The interpreted results are publicly available as a published study and as an interactive online platform.

The main objective is to research and demonstrate the positive climate impact of reuse in the construction industry. Through this (re)use of components, products and material groups, large shares of the emissions generated by the construction industry can be avoided and contribute to the targeted climate neutrality. Another aspect is to design the connections of the components in such a way that they can be deconstructed and reused.

ReSpace is developing an AI-based model for identifying, categorizing, and activating sealed areas. Existing data sources (aerial and satellite images, mobile network data, land registry entries) are integrated and enhanced with dynamic analysis to derive evidence-based recommendations for action.

The RaumCoop organizes the sharing of spaces, mobilizes underutilized spaces for non-residential purposes in the ground floor area, and makes them available for temporary use at affordable conditions. The goal of the project is to establish this non-profit organization.
