Bauteilkatalog für Gebäudesanierungen auf Passivhausstandard für Baualtersklassen von Gründerzeit bis 80er Jahre. Besonderes Augenmerk auf die Sanierung erdberührter Bauteile. Integration von Lüftungsanlagen. Konstruktionen mit zeichnerischer Darstellung, bauphysikalischen Kenndaten und ökologischer Bewertung über den gesamten Lebenslauf. Das Projekt lieferte einen Beitrag zu "Multiplizierbare Sanierungskonzepte aller Baualtersklassen auf Passivhaustandard und/oder vergleichbare Standards".

Beim Passivwohnbau Utendorfgasse wurden extrem günstige Baukosten erreicht. Würden sich die Baukosten im Falle einer Ausführung mit ökologischen Materialien verändern? Anhand des Ökologischen Bauteilkatalogs und eigener Kostenkennwerten ähnlich großer Projekte werden die Mehr/Minderkosten ermittelt.
Innovativer Mottenschutz für Schafwolldämmstoffe
Schafwolle gilt als ausgezeichneter Dämmstoff im Hausbau und bei der Altbau-Sanierung. Leider wird Schafwolle häufig mit problematischen Insektiziden gegen Mottenbefall ausgerüstet und somit als "Naturprodukt" entwertet. Für das wohngesunde "Haus der Zukunft" wurde ein innovativer, ungefährlicher und effektiver Mottenschutz für Schafwolldämmstoffe entwickelt.

Construction elements description with drawings, building physical data and ecological life cycle assessment. This project aimed at contributing to "Replicable refurbishment concepts for meeting passive house (or comparable) standard in buildings of all building periods".
Innovative moth-protection system for sheepwool insulation
This project developed a novel "bio-pesticide"-formula by screening plant extracts and minerals for their strong repellant activity in order to protect sheepwool insulation from cloth moth infestation. It was investigated and examined by state-of-the-art-technology that the anti-moth-mixture extracted from plants and minerals, acts as a valid alternative to existing pest control agents.

Technologisch geht es um das Bauaufmaß der inneren Wandgeometrie mit Hilfe eines Laser-Gerätes, das eine schnelle und hochgenaue Messung ermöglicht. Die Informationen werden elektronisch aufbereitet und auf eine Computer-gesteuerte Off-Site-Schneidemaschine geschickt, die eine schnelle, präzise und passgenaue Fertigung der benötigten Innenwandelemente ermöglicht.

Whiscers is a system for installing internal wall insulation with minimal mess, whilst the resident remains in the property. It involves measuring the walls in the property using a laser device that enables fast and highly accurate measurement. Information is then sent electronically to a computer controlled off-site cutting machine that is rapid, precise and mess-free.

Dafür wurden exemplarisch zwei Szenarien untersucht: die (temporäre) Bebauung des Flugfelds in Aspern und die Errichtung eines Low-cost Gebäudes in Südafrika.
