Strawbale-workshops are considered as the best way to inseminate this ecological building-technique. The "virtual building site" has some decisive advantages over the common situation: it does not depend on the weather, allows the comparative study of different constructing methods and can, as a permanent installation, be used as an exhibition.

The existing material cycles in the building sector are going to be analysed. Furthermore, there will be a catalogue presented, covering the actual situation of which materials are used in today´s engineering and how the waste is treated. The project will be completed with a summary of results and a proposal of concrete materials and constructional systems for the building project gugler.

Das in Vorgängerprojekten entwickelte Gebäudekonzept eines höchst energieeffizienten Hochhauses in Holz-Systembauweise (Plus-Energiehaus) wird hinsichtlich Funktionstüchtigkeit unter realen Nutzungsbedingungen geprüft. Anhand des Demonstrationsprojektes werden die Vorteile des Gebäudekonzeptes, die u.a. in der Ressourceneffizienz, hoher Energieeffizienz sowie der industriellen Bauprozessabwicklung und Serienfertigung gelegen sind, einer breiten Öffentlichkeit vorgestellt.

The project focused on passive house elements from straw and clay. Special interest was paid at a novel straw insulation as well as at an efficient drying process of the clay. Sustainability of the building materials was a very important aspect within the project.

Darstellung der Einsatzmöglichkeiten und Vorschläge konkreter Materialien und Aufbauten von recycros im Hochbau, insbesondere für das Bauprojekt Gugler.
