This course covers research topics in the fields of hydrogen production, basic electrochemistry, thermodynamics, and kinetics as well as the design and development of the complete fuel cell systems. The goals of the course are to provide the necessary background to the students and to make them more aware of the need to work closely with colleagues from different fields such as the natural sciences and engineering departments in order to develop and implement this technology.
Chemo-physical analysis and assessment of color alterations of selected hardwoods and development
Analyses of biochemical reactions causing colour changes during the hygrothermal treatment of selected hardwoods will lead to a model for defined and process-based colouration or maintenance of colour in drying and steaming processes. Based on this development the new drying and steaming schedules will be implemented in the industry.

ProKlim - Optimisation of Energy Efficiency of automated indoor climate systems by using weather forecasts
Investigation of the basic energy savings potential for buildings in commercial use by including weather forecasts as a variable. Additionally, a concept for integrating weather forecasts into the heating and air conditioning control systems in buildings is planned to be developed.
