Working Party on Industrial Decarbonisation (WPID)
The aim of the Working Party on Industrial Decarbonisation WPID is to provide a platform with a focus on key aspects towards accelerating industrial decarbonisation. The initial focus area of the WPID will be on definitions related to what constitutes climate friendly production standards in heavy industry and how these standards can support successful decarbonisation policies. Thus WPID is working together with IEA members as well as relevant globale private and public stakeholder and supports the IEA office in reporting, benchmarking and foresight.

IEA Technology Collaboration Programmes (TCPs)
Austrian experts and companies are currently active in 23 out of 39 IEA Technology Collaboration Programmes (TCPs) and one expert group.
Working Party on Renewable Energy Technologies (REWP)
Central tasks of the Renewable Energy Working Party (REWP) are to support the IEA research programs, discuss current energy and technology policy issues among the IEA member states, advise the IEA Secretariat in Paris on issues related to R&D, technology and market introduction, and support the IEA in their outreach strategy.
Working Party on End-Use Technologies (EUWP)
The International Energy Agency (IEA) Working Party on Energy End-Use Technologies, often referred to as End-Use Working Party (EUWP), has been in the advisory council for the Committee on Energy Research and Technology (CERT) in the area of end-use energy technologies since 1981. It also functions as reference for questions on end-use energy within the IEA Secretariat.

International activities for the energy supply of the future are taking place within the framework of IEA's technology cooperation. Visualisations based on a graph database show the extensive activities of the individual technology cooperation programmes (TCPs). The collaborations of countries on individual topics were made clearly visible, too.
Mission
Until the mid 1970‘s energy supply policy was a side issue for the industrialized nations: all the energy services needed could be provided with the fossil sources of energy available in the market.The oil crisis in October 1973 was a turning-point in national and international energy policies – for the first time the extent of dependence on the oil-exporting countries was revealed, and the security of the supply of energy in future seemed to be in jeopardy.

IEA-Arbeitsgruppe Fossile Energie
Die Arbeitsgruppe Fossile Energie (Working Party on Fossil Fuels - WPFF) ist das Beratungsgremium für das IEA Committee on Energy Research and Technology (CERT) für den Bereich der fossilen Brennstoffe.
IEA-Arbeitsgruppe zur Dekarbonisierung der Industrie (WPID)
Die zentrale Zielsetzung der Arbeitsgruppe Dekarbonisierung der Industrie WPID ist es, eine Plattform zu etablieren, deren primärer Fokus darauf liegt, ein gemeinsames Verständnis und Standards für Emissionsdaten (d.s. THG v.a. CO2) in der Schwerindustrie zu entwickeln. Global koordinierte Definitionen für klimaverträgliche Produktion sowie deren Beitrag zu erfolgreicher Dekarbonisierungspolitik in der Schwerindustrie sind weitere Arbeitsschwerpunkte. Die WPID arbeitet dabei mit den IEA Mitgliedern sowie relevanten globalen, privaten und öffentlichen, Stakeholdern zusammen und unterstützt das IEA Büro bei Reporting und Foresight.
Arbeitsgruppe Erneuerbare Energie
Zentrale Aufgaben der Arbeitsgruppe Erneuerbare Energie (REWP) sind Begleitung der IEA-Forschungsprogramme, Diskussion aktueller energie- bzw. technologiepolitischer Themen unter den IEA-Mitgliedstaaten, Beratung des IEA-Sekretariats in Paris in Fragen zu F&E, Technologie und Markteinführung, sowie Unterstützung der IEA bei ihrer Outreach-Strategie.
C3E Botschafterinnen-Programm
Das Botschafterinnen-Programm dient der Förderung von Frauen, die in der Energiebranche Fuß fassen und Karrieren anstreben. C3E Botschafterinnen sind Unterstützerinnen und Rollenmodelle.
Visualisierungen der Technologiekooperationsprogramme der IEA
Im Rahmen der Forschungskooperation der IEA findet eine weltweite Zusammenarbeit für die Energieversorgung der Zukunft statt. Auf einer Graphen-Datenbank basierende Visualisierungen zeigen die umfangreichen Aktivitäten der einzelnen Technologiekooperationsprogramme (TCPs) auf. Die Kooperationen der Staaten zu einzelnen Themen werden so ebenfalls gut sichtbar.
Sekretariat für das TCP "Energy Conservation through Energy Storage" ausgeschrieben
Das Executive Committee (ExCo) für das IEA Technology Collaboration Programme (TCP) "Energy Conservation through Energy Storage (ECES)" lädt Organisationen ein, sich für das Sekretariat zu bewerben. Einreichschluss ist der 31. März 2019.
13. IEA Heat Pump Conference: Call for Abstracts
Die 13. IEA Heat Pump Conference findet von 11. bis 14. Mai 2020 in Korea statt. Abstracts können bis 15. Mai 2019 eingereicht werden.
IEA Forschungskooperation - Ausschreibung 2021
Die IEA-Ausschreibung 2021 für die österreichischen Beteiligungen an den Tasks und Annexen der IEA TCPs ist bis 21. Juli 2021 geöffnet.

Das IEA DHC Executive Committee (ExCo) startete einen Call for Project Proposals. Die neue Periode läuft von 1. Mai 2020 bis 30. April 2023. Für den Call stehen 1,2 Mio USD zur Verfügung.
