Vorbereitung eines Reallabors, das es zahlreichen Akteur:innen ermöglicht, den tatsächlichen Nutzen urbaner Daten bzw. deren KI-unterstützter Analyse für eine klimaneutrale Stadt zu beforschen. Mittels Klärung strategischer, technischer und rechtlicher Aspekte sowie im Wege von Potenzialanalysen entlang relevanter Anwendungsfälle werden die Rahmenbedingungen für eine offene, mehrjährige Forschungsumgebung (Reallabor) in Wien auf den Weg gebracht.

Preparation of a real laboratory that will enable numerous actors to research the actual benefits of urban data or their AI-supported analysis for a climate-neutral city. "Biotope City" ist ein Projektleitbild für die Umsetzung umfassender urbaner Begrünung mit dem Ziel, die regenerativen Mechanismen der Natur zu nutzen. So soll die Lebensqualität umfassend, nachhaltig und kosteneffizient erhöht und Resilienz gegen Wetterextreme in Städten verbessert werden. Zentrale Zielsetzung des Projekts ist die Generierung von Bestandteilen einer realitätsgerechten, verallgemeinerbaren und übertragbaren Bauanleitung für die grüne Stadt der Zukunft.
Biotope City - construction manual for the green city of the future
"Biotope City" is an overall concept for the implementation of comprehensive urban greening with the aim of using the regenerative mechanisms of nature. With this approach, quality of life is to be comprehensively, sustainably and cost-effectively increased and resilience against extreme weather events in cities will be improved. The project aims to generate realistic components of a "construction manual" for the green city of the future, which are generalizable and transferable.

Human Centric Lighting (HCL) stellt die positiven visuellen und biologischen Wirkungen des Lichtes auf den Menschen in den Mittelpunkt, verbraucht dabei aber sehr viel Energie durch den ineffizienten Einsatz von Beleuchtungskomponenten sowie unzureichende Nutzung von Tageslicht. In LessIsMore wird testweise eine vorbildhafte HCL-Beleuchtung installiert und evaluiert.

The goal of the project ist o couple an office building during operation with its virtual twin, the "building tracker", which will be developed and applied for the first time within the project. Thanks to coupling of monitoring and simulation, innovative building energy management of nearly zero-energy building is possible.
