25. - 29. October 2010
Knowledge Campus Delft
Delft, NL
The ERSCP provides a platform to stimulate, develop and disseminate new initiatives to foster the implementation of sustainable consumption and production concepts and approaches within local and regional sustainable development initiatives. The conference will take place in Delft and in Cape Town.
ECR Energy City Graz-Reininghaus: Urban strategies for the new conception, construction, operation and restructuring of an energy self-sufficient city district
The aim is the development of a valid set of specific values and a guideline as a basis for energy self-sufficient district development. Based on the results, a masterplan (energy-network) for the district Graz-Reininghaus shall be developed. Future-oriented "city-building-blocks" will be implemented as flagships of innovation.
GREEN BIOREFINERY - Technical, economic and ecological optimisation of value chains by the introduction and efficient use of sustainable raw materials (SUSPRISE Joint Call)
Green Biorefinery stands for the sustainable and highly integrated processing of green biomass into multiple products. The project deals with the assessment and development of required technology for selected feedstock and evaluates market potential for out-products as well as the implementation potential for introduced processes.

GoBiGas: An Industry Relevant State-of-the-Art Reference for Advanced Biofuel Production via Gasification
20. June 2018
Webinar, AT
IEA Bioenergy invites you to participate in this free international webinar. Experiences and advancement made as a result of the first-of-its-kind industrial demonstration of advanced biofuel, in this case methane production via gasification within Göteborg Energi ́s GoBiGas-project, will be summarized.
Establishing a logistics concept for an efficient collection of biogenous waste as input for energy recovery in biogas plants.
The basic organizational and technical conditions along with possible obstacles and critical success factors are investigated.
Transfer of results of the program "Factory of Tomorrow" into the target groups of energy managers and energy consultants
Transfer of results of the program "Factory of Tomorrow" with respect to energy efficiency and increased adoption of renewable energy technologies into the target groups of internal energy managers and external energy consultants. The transfer activities include carrying out a one-day-seminar twice and the preparation of freely available training materials.
Test stand method for the determination of system efficiency and emission factors of small-scale biomass combustion systems
Determination of key data with practical relevance of typical applications in only one test run. Monitoring of air pollutants and efficiency and continuous improvement of technology possible with test stand method.
Gründerzeit with future - demonstration project 3: KA 7 Kaiserstraße - Innovative renovation of a listed Gründerzeit building
A demonstration of how innovative measures, with highly efficient and contemporary standards and taking into consideration comfort and energy consumption, can be applied to a heritage listed building.
R-Bau - Development of a replicable deconstruction strategy for residential buildings to force the recovery-oriented dismantling
The aim of the project was to develop a replicable deconstruction strategy for residential buildings to force the recovery-oriented dismantling. The key aspects of the project are the development of standardized building models in order to analyse the recovery-oriented dismantling process, the design of a deconstruction catalogue and the transfer of the project findings to refurbishment, design and erecting of residential buildings.
plusFacades - International know-how- and knowledge transfer of "intelligent Facade systems" for Austrian players and key personnel
The project proceeds from the idea that prefabricated intelligent facade systems represent a promising technology for the energy efficient refurbishment of buildings. A goal is to process the present international state-of-the-art and the existing know-how to this topic for Austrian experts.
Solarenergie Urban - Analysis and evaluation of the economic, energetic and architectural quality of urban solar energy buildings
This project developed energetic and economic optimised planning criteria for multi storey residential buildings for the integration of renewable energy systems in the building shell. The field of new construction and refurbishment had been investigated.
Development of miniaturized, ceramic high-temperature fuel-cell-components using resources-perserving mass-production processes
The application of nano scaled powder and powder injection moulding (PIM) for energy efficient co-sintering of miniaturized solid oxid fuel cells which can produce current and heat by using renewable raw materials.
Feasibility concept for the extensive implementation of information systems on Geographic basis in forest associations
The introduction of spacious information systems on GIS basis (geographical information system) in the forest federations of Austria and Bavaria is examined. This offers for the first time the possibility to connect biological and technical characteristics (attributes) with geographical data to compensate for the disadvantages of small structured forest estates. A substantial goal is also the development of a scanner method for the automated, EDP-supported identification of forests and their most important ground and stock characteristics.
Energetic roof including window, PV and thermal solar components as on-roof and façade module - on-roof and façade module
Development of a novel on-roof respectively façade module, which includes a thermal solar component as well as photovoltaics and a skylight. With the serial implementation of this development idea there should be offered for the first time an energetic roof as retrofitting kit for existing buildings.
Processing of filter residues of the beer - brewing process for the production of an innovative pharmaceutical substance
The latest technology for the filtration of beer is the use of ion exchangers. The reclaim contains high-potent substances (vitamins and minerals from the yeast, hops and other proteins) in concentrated form which should be processed and characterised. In a further step this substance should be the main ingredient of a food supplement. After a technical adaptation this concept can be used within other ranges of the food and natural substance industry.
LTS Flywheel - Long Term Storage-Flywheel: New approaches for increasing the economically usable storage time and safety
Development of the fundamentals for a Long Term Storage (LTS)-flywheel for decentralized storage of electrical energy (e.g. from wind or PV power plants), with a significant increase in storage time (goal: 12 hours) and safety, featuring low system costs. Therefore, the LTS-Flywheel is an essential contribution to the building of the future.
Developing of a application for central visualisation of the energy and resource demand in a private household "ZENVIS"
The main focus of the research project ZENVIS is set on the analysis of the benefits provided by a "visualization device", which gathers the readings of energy and resource consumption (electricity, gas, water, heat energy and fuel consumption). This device ought to find its use in households and to allow the consumer to observe and to control his energy consumption.
Connection of innovative strategies and technologies to a holistic, resources-friendly plus energy building (FUTUREbase)
On the basis of a construction project in Giefinggasse 4 in Vienna the combination of new, innovative strategies and technologies to an integrated, resources conserving plus energy building with high signaling and multiplication effect had been tested for feasibility. A regional, energetical bond between the buildings TECHbase, ENERGYbase and the Klima-Windkanal had been developed.
