Bei der thermischen Sanierung von Gebäuden stellen frei auskragende Balkone ein besonderes Problem dar. Das Projekt hatte zum Ziel, die Grundlagen für die Entwicklung eines praxistauglichen und kostengün­stigen Befestigungssystems zu schaffen, das die thermisch entkoppelte Wiedererrichtung der Balkone im Zuge der Sanierung erlaubt und damit die Effizienz der Wärmedämmmaßnahme deutlich verbessert.

Es gibt vier Fokusthemen: 100 Erneuerbare Energie-Gemeinschaften (EEG), 1.000 Gebäudesanierungen, 10.000 Energie-Exporteure und -Exporteurinnen (im Sinne der Mitarbeiter:innen, welche den Ansatz ins private Umfeld tragen) und 100.000.000 km nachhaltiger Mobilität mit umfassender Nutzung von IT für die Entwicklung lokaler integrierter Energyiesysteme (IES) zur Einbindung eines bunten Mix unterschiedlicher Akteure und Akteurinnen und Objekte.

Dabei wurden in den östlichen Nachbarländern Potentiale erhoben, Erfahrungen ausgetauscht, Informationen weiter gegeben sowie Kontakte zu den Zielgruppen aufgebaut.

The content of subproject 5 was the analysis of energy- as well as building-biology-related issues for the evaluation and quality management of the demo-project in Kapfenberg, which involves a high-quality refurbishment to a plus energy house within the program "Haus der Zukunft - Building of Tomorrow". Within this process the user acceptance before, during and after the renovation was elevated and this will be processed for upcoming projects. The environmental quality of the building regarding the choice of materials and measures during the construction phase and the subsequent use of the building was assessed with the help of the TQB-planning and evaluation tool.

Kierling passive house - heading into the future sustainably

Using the example of demonstrational renovation, Kierling (built between 1977 and 1979) tests the possibilities of a renovation in passive house standard in technical, organizational and financial terms as an outstanding example of a comprehensive renovation.

Pre-cast cantilever balconies represent a particular problem in the thermal renovation of buildings. The central goal of this project is the development of practical and cost-effective mounting solutions for the thermally decoupled reconstruction of balconies on building frontages and achieving a significant increase in the energy performance of the thermal renovation measure.

Im Rahmen dieses Subprojekts wurde eine Entscheidungsmatrix sowie ein Planungshandbuch mit Machbarkeitsanalysen und Informations­sammlungen, die als Entscheidungshilfe in den Planungs- und Ausführungsprozessen im Zuge nachhaltiger Gebäudemodernisierung dienen und so das Risiko bei der Anwendung neuer Technologien minimieren sollen.
