Subprojekt 8 zum Leitprojekt „gugler!build & print triple zero“: Anhand des konkreten Gewerbegebäudes gugler mit 2140 m² Bestand und 3260 m² Neubaunutzflächen wurde ein Konzept für ein 100% kreislauffähiges ökoeffektives Gebäude erstellt.

The demonstration project "Technology centre aspern IQ" showed that the energy required for space conditioning (heating, cooling, ventilation, lighting, hot water) can be covered from domestic energy production.

The energy concept led Gugler in frame of the conversion and expansion of the company towards plus-energy standard. Significant measures ware a consequent maximum reduction of the energy demand, optimal utilisation of industrial waste-heat, maximum consumption of on-site energy sources, integrated energy production, ecologic load management with comprehensive response- and storage-techniques.
"1000 Passivehouses in Austria" - Passive house object databank
The first joint project of the four IG passive house organisations on behalf of the programme line "Building of Tomorrow" - an initiative of the Federal Ministry for Transport, Innovation and Technology - for the purpose of setting up a detailed network documentation of 80% of all passive houses in Austria.
ArcheNEO - an energy-autonomous office park in Kitzbühel
ArcheNEO is a highly energy efficient office park, that produces more energy than it needs. It features an integrated energy concept that saves energy, uses renewable energies in combination with electric mobility and batteries as electricity storage and manages energy and was planned and built in Kitzbühel Oberndorf. The demonstration object will be multiplied and exported.
Solarenergie Urban - Analysis and evaluation of the economic, energetic and architectural quality of urban solar energy buildings
This project developed energetic and economic optimised planning criteria for multi storey residential buildings for the integration of renewable energy systems in the building shell. The field of new construction and refurbishment had been investigated.

Multifunctional building in passive house standard - The building was designed as innovative high-quality passive house (wood construction) with the latest ecological building automation as a pilot project which is multipliable in a reduced respectively altered form in Europe as well as overseas.
Sol2Pump - High efficient combination of solar thermal plants, photovoltaic and heat pumps
Targeting a high level of decentralised energy supply on basis of renewable energy, the project analysed the possible combinations of solar thermal energy, photovoltaic and heat pumps. The project aimed to maximise the domestic energy supply due to utilisation of the building as short term energy storage. In addition to that, several optimisation measures had been developed. The impact on the energy supply and demand will be economically assessed through life cycle costing. On this basis, the potential load transfer and the use of this kind of systems had been evaluated in combination with smart grids.

Integrative approach for the diffusion of the ecologic passive house: village of passive houses for test-living with an Energy Competence Centre on the basis of a sustainable concept for settlement development at Großschönau.

Arrangement of a passive house village for test living in the context of an innovative settlement expansion. Building up a large dimensioned passive house for consulting, training, exhibitions, research and distribution of passive house technology and know-how in the field of energy efficient and sustainable building.
Demonstration project LifeCycle Tower - batch-produced energy efficient timber/hybrid high-rise building system
The energy efficient building concept shall be tested with regard to its functional efficiency and real usage conditions. The demonstration project is based upon the results of previous research activities and shall be presented to a wider public. It shall illustrate the advantages of a batch-produced timber/hybrid high-rise building system which offers high quality of energy and resource efficiency.

"gugler! build & print triple zero" - subproject 9: Monitoring Gugler - Monitoring, evaluation, optimization GUGLER
The project objective is the measurement of relevant building values (energy consumption, ...), the evaluation of these values compared with the intended objectives and the optimization of the system based on the measured data. As a special innovation, monitoring the storage of alternatively generated electricity using photovoltaic and wind energy in the form of compressed air must be considered.
