It has been exhibited in a scale 1:1 at the Biennale in Venice 2008 and has been developed for mass production within this project. ECR Energy City Graz - subproject 3: +ERS - Plus Energy Network Reininghaus Süd

The multifunctional neighbourhood "+ERS - Plus Energy Network Reininghaus Süd" was realized within the urban planning area of Graz-Reininghaus. The project aims to optimize the energy concept of the single buildings as well as of the building cluster in order to achieve a plus-energy standard within the residential neighbourhood.

Sol2Pump - High efficient combination of solar thermal plants, photovoltaic and heat pumps

Targeting a high level of decentralised energy supply on basis of renewable energy, the project analysed the possible combinations of solar thermal energy, photovoltaic and heat pumps. The project aimed to maximise the domestic energy supply due to utilisation of the building as short term energy storage. In addition to that, several optimisation measures had been developed. The impact on the energy supply and demand will be economically assessed through life cycle costing. On this basis, the potential load transfer and the use of this kind of systems had been evaluated in combination with smart grids.

aspern Vienna´s Urban Lakeside - subproject 6b: Monitoring of Energy Consumption in Demonstration Buildings in Seestadt Aspern

The project deals wtih the energy consumption monitoring of demonstration buildings, which are erected within the framework of the landmark project "aspern+". As both, office/manufacturing as well as residential buildings will be constructed, these different user groups will have to be considered. The derivation of the concepts will be done in accordance of the specific needs of the individual demonstration buildings.

OPEN LIVING PLUS - building structures and utilization options with high social functionality and plusEnergie-standard for rural regions

In small to medium sized communities in rural Regions there is a high demand for sustainable building and space for innovative living facilities, to satisfy the requirements of current and coming life designs. The project’s intentions were to provide social scientific groundwork, develop building structures and utilization options of high social functionality and to transfer knowledge to decision makers in communities and regional authorities.

Beacon of innovation gugler cross media, ecoeffective zero energy cross media enterprise featuring zero-emission, zero energy, zero waste

The aim of the flagship project is a new dimension of sustainability (cradle to cradle, ecoeffective zero energy enterprise) for business operation and building, which means zero emission, zero energy, zero waste. This will be shown on the basis of a beacon of innovation: Gugler GmbH, a modern sustainable media services enterprise (traditional print and new media) will extend their current building from about 2100 square meters and about 90 employees to about 5,000 square meters.

Dies soll anhand des Leuchtturmprojektes Gugler GmbH, eines modernen nachhaltigen Mediendienstleistungsbetriebes (klassische Druckerei und neue Medien, der von derzeit ca. 2100 m² und ca. 90 Mitarbeitern auf ca. 5000 m² erweitert werden soll) gezeigt werden.

Ziel ist die Erarbeitung von allgemein gültigen Kennwerten und eines Leitfadens als Grundlage für energieautarke Stadtteilentwicklungen. Aufbauend auf den Ergebnissen soll ein Gesamtenergiekonzept (Energienetzwerk) für den energieautarken Stadtteil Graz-Reininghaus erstellt werden. Durch den Bau von Demonstrationsprojekten sollen international zukunftsweisende "nachhaltige Stadtbausteine", als sichtbare Leuchttürme der Innovation umgesetzt werden.

Demonstration building of the eco²building system: First passive house prefabricated wood building system for commercial and industrial buildings

The EU funded "eco2building" construction system in a timber-frame based modular design represents a systematic approach for energy efficient commercial and industrial buildings. The object of the eco²building demonstration project - the logistics centre in passive-house quality for "Eine Welt Handel AG" - in Niklasdorf was to optimize the planning and construction processes and prepare for the market launch of the eco²building construction system. Accompanying research monitored and disseminated the experience.

Es soll die Möglichkeit zur Steigerung der Effizienz gebäudeübergreifender Energiesysteme geschaffen werden um dem Ziel resilienter Städte und Stadtteile mit hoher Lebensqualität, Ressourcen- und Energieeffizienz nahe zu kommen. Ziel war ein auf simultaner technischer Planung basierendes praxistaugliches Werkzeug zur Entscheidungsunterstützung bei Sanierungs- und Neubauplanungen (bis zu Plusenergiegebäuden) in hocheffizienten Stadtteilen.

Solarenergie Urban - Analyse und Bewertung der ökonomischen, energetischen und architektonischen Qualität urbaner Solarenergiebauten

Dieses Projekt entwickelte energetisch und ökonomisch optimierte Planungsgrundlagen für den mehrgeschoßigen Wohnbau zur Integration von erneuerbaren Energiesystemen in die Gebäudehülle. Es wurden die Bereiche Neubau und Sanierung bearbeitet.
