IEA Bioenergy Task 39: Webinar-Rückblick und Newsletter
Das Webinar gab ein Update zum Thema Mikro- und Makroalgen als Rohstoff für Bioenergie und Biotreibstoffe. Der Schwerpunkt des Newsletters liegt auf Biokraftstofftechnologien und deren Erforschung und Entwicklung in Österreich.
IEA Bioenergy: Neue Publikationen
Im Rahmen von IEA Bioenergy wurden ein Countries’ Report sowie eine Zusammenfassung des ExCo Meetings 78, des Workshops Biotreibstoffe für die Luft- und Seefahrt und der Bioenergy Australia 2016 Conference erstellt.
IEA Bioenergy Task 32: Neue Publikationen
Im IEA Bioenergy Task 32 wurden die Ergebnisse des Expertenworkshops zu Emissionen aus Biomasse-Verbrennung, ein Bericht, ein Newsletter und der Final Task Report veröffentlicht.

IEA Bioenergy Task 37: Energy from Biogas and Landfill Gas (Working Period 2013 - 2015)
The Austrian representatives participated in the expert group „IEA Bioenergy Task 37 – Energy from Biogas“ for the period 2013-2015. Their main tasks was the work on the technical brochures on biogas plant monitoring, digestate processing and the evaluation of pretreatment technologies. In addition, they participated in the knowledge exchange of the participating countries.
IEA Bioenergy Task 42: Biorefining - Sustainable Processing of Biomass into a Spectrum of Marketable Bio-based Products and Bioenergy (Working Period 2010 - 2012)

IEA Bioenergy Task 33: Gasification of biogenic and waste feedstocks for a sustainable future (Working Period 2025 - 2027)
Thermal gasification will be crucial for the energy transition. Austria’s participation in the project strengthens the exchange of information and networking between stakeholders. This ensures that Austrian actors are regularly informed about gasification activities in other member countries. In the task workshops, they can also present their own research and industry projects and benefit from international knowledge sharing.
IEA Bioenergy Task 32: Biomass Combustion (Working Period 2025 - 2027)
Biomass combustion is an important technology for the provision of renewable energy worldwide. In addition to the climate-friendly supply of heat and electricity, biomass combustion offers market-ready solutions for net-negative emissions (carbon capture technologies). It therefore represents a key technology for achieving climate targets. This project aims to ensure the exchange of information on relevant topics and thus support the success of Austrian players from industry and research.
IEA Bioenergy Task 37: Energy from Biogas and Landfill Gas (Working Period 2010 - 2012)
Key issues for realisation and dissemination of extraction of biogas from byproducts, waste and bioenergy crops were modulated by international experts.
IEA Bioenergy Task 33: Gasification of Biomass and Waste (Working Period 2022 - 2024)
The aim of Task 33 is to exchange information on the production and utilization of renewable gas from biomass and waste for the production of power, heat, biofuels and biochemicals. Especially the information exchange about R&D programs, implementation and possible markets is taken into account, to remove technical and non-technical barriers.
IEA Bioenergy Task 44: Flexible Bioenergy and System Integration (Working Period 2019 - 2022)
Goal of Task 44 is to analyse bioenergy solutions that can provide flexible resources in a low carbon energy system. The objective is to improve understanding on the types, quality and status of flexible bioenergy, and identification of barriers and future development needs in the context of the entire energy system (power, heat and transport).
