Passivhauselemente aus Stroh und Lehm standen im Fokus des Projekts, das sich insbesondere mit einer neuartigen Strohdämmung sowie einem effizienteren Trocknungsprozess des Lehm beschäftigte. Ein wichtiger Aspekt war dabei die Nachhaltigkeit und Zukunftsfähigkeit der Baustoffe.

Das Forschungsprojekte hat zum Ziel einen umfassenden Leitfaden und Planungsgrundlagen für die Sanierung dieser Einfamilienhaussiedlungen anzubieten, wodurch der Standard eines Niedrigenergiehauses oder Passivhauses zu erreichen wäre.
