Die AEE INTEC veranstaltete im September 2011 die internationale Konferenz "ökosan´11 - Hochwertige energetische Sanierung von großvolumigen Gebäuden zum Plus-Energiegebäude". Ziel der Konferenz war es, einen wesentlichen Beitrag zum Know-how -Transfer der aktuellen Projektergebnisse des österreichischen Programms "Haus der Zukunft Plus" zu leisten.

Investigation into control systems for low emission, high efficiency biomass furnaces for heating residential and office buildings.
Through optimising the control systems of biomass heating systems, energy wastage and pollutant emissions can be reduced considerably. The goal of the project is first to analyse the possible savings that can be made in these areas, using the heat demand scenarios of different "Buildings of Tomorrow". The results of this analysis will lead to the development of an optimised control system which will be tested on a biomass heating system.

In general local educational institutions such as schools and kindergardens have a high average demand for improved comfort and energy efficiency improvements. CO-MOD develops a flexible, modular concept (with provider networks, various financing options incl. "Grandmother"-Energy Services, contract modules) that can also respond to the individual circumstances of smaller objects.

Open spaces such as parking lots, brownfields and some categories of recreation areas offer an underutilised potential for photovoltaics in urban regions. In the course of Syn[En]ergy an inter- and transdisciplinary approach potential synergies and conflicts with other use demands were investigated, a typology and practical solutions for selected areas with regard to requirements from economy, urban planning and design, legal as well social aspects developed, and then evaluated by stakeholders from enterprises, administration and the general public.

Das Projekt verfolgt das Ziel der hocheffizienten Sanierung von bestehenden Gebäuden und Siedlungen im urbanen Raum. Zentraler Fokus sind Gebäude, die zwischen 1950 und 1980 errichtet wurden.
COP5+ - Weiterentwicklung eines Wärme- und Kühlsystems mit saisonaler Wärmespeicherung am Beispiel des größten Erdwärmetiefensondenfeldes Mitteleuropas
Ziel war, den Energieüberschuss des Plus-Gebäudes im Sommer zur Nutzung für den Winter bereitzustellen. Dies erfolgte durch Verwendung eines hoch effizienten Systems zur saisonalen Wärmeenergiespeicherung. Realisiert wurde dies durch das größte Erdwärmetiefensondenfeld Mitteleuropas. Umfangreiche Messreihen wurden ausgewertet und bildeten die Grundlage für die Weiterentwicklung.

Sanierung einer gründerzeitlichen Wienerwaldvilla auf Passivhausstandard mit aktiver und passiver Solarnutzung innerhalb eines geförderten Wohnbauprojektes
Das Projekt zeigt beispielhaft, dass gründerzeitliche Bausubstanz erhalten werden kann und bessere Umweltbilanzen als Neubau bietet (inkl. Ortsbild und Verkehr). Als Beispiel wurde eine Wienerwaldvilla - innerhalb eines Wohnprojektes - zum Mehrfamilienhaus umgebaut.
