The motivation for developing the project "Clay Passiv Office-Building Tattendorf" was the dissatisfaction with the situation of a great difference in the state of technology in three fields relevant to the research project: 1) sustainable production of energy , 2) sustainable energy conservation technologies and 3) use of sustainable building materials.
Network material ecology for hospitals
The use of sustainable building materials is a key issue for sustainable development of the building sector. Emission free indoor air, minimized embodied energy of construction materials and health risk for construction workers are three main aspects. Eco-Suite Hotel Salzburg
Das Kolpinghaus Salzburg, ein Jugendwohnheim und Sommerhotel, wurde um das Eco-Suite Hotel erweitert. Der Energieeinsatz im Erweiterungsbau wird mittels hoch effizienter Komponenten (wie LED-Beleuchtung) minimiert, vor Ort verfügbare Energiequellen - Abwasserabwärme und Sonnenlicht - werden genutzt und zur Abnahme der Plus-Energie-Wärme ein Vor-Ort-Energiesystem geschaffen. Für die Gäste des Hotels wird das Leben in einem Plusenergiegebäude erlebbar.

PEB - Marktreifes Plus-Energie-Büro
Am Beispiel eines Büroprojektes mit einer Bruttogrundfläche von 50.000 m² wurde die Machbarkeit eines Plus-Energie-Büros unter wirtschaftlichen Marktbedingungen untersucht. Schwerpunkte bildeten die Entwicklung eines haustechnischen Gesamtkonzeptes, eine Bedarfsanalyse in Form einer Nutzer:innenbefragung, umfangreiche Simulationen und Kostenberechnungen.

Energy2POG - Hybrid Energy Cluster Pogusch - Renewable energies and cost-efficient operation
The aim of the project was the design, optimisation and demonstration of a hybrid energy supply system as well as optimised material flows for a restaurant and hotel business in an exposed location. The concept allows the integration of material flows into the heat and energy supply system.
