Systematical description, analysis and comparison of all ecological, economic and social sus-tainability of the systems aspects of housing subsidy for new buildings and the renovation of buildings across the federal provinces of Austria; an analysis of regional-economic effects and a statistical-econometric analysis of the allocation effects of housing subsidies.
plusFacades - International know-how- and knowledge transfer of "intelligent Facade systems" for Austrian players and key personnel
The project proceeds from the idea that prefabricated intelligent facade systems represent a promising technology for the energy efficient refurbishment of buildings. A goal is to process the present international state-of-the-art and the existing know-how to this topic for Austrian experts.
BTTAB - Broad-based testing of energy-efficient demonstration buildings with thermally activated building components
Buildings with thermal building component activation that have not yet been researched in as many federal states and application categories as possible will be monitored, which will include operating data as well as the experiences of those involved. The aim of this study is to take a general look at the various applications of the thermal building component activation technology and to evaluate and compare the pilot projects with the help of suitable evaluation criteria.
Conference: Smart Grids Week - Graz 2014
May 19th to 23rd, 2014
Energie Steiermark and CONGRESS GRAZGraz, AT
The Smart Grids Week - Graz 2014 aims to significantly contribute to the further development of electricity infrastructures and to link the Austrian Smart Grids activbities with the European initiatives.
Facade Integrated Solar Collectors
Within the framework of this project system-, structural- as well as building physical basis theories should be elaborated, which will serve as a basis for constructional and aesthetically attractive solutions for the production of facade integrated solar collectors without thermal separation. The recyclability of the materials used and resource efficiency play a central role when it comes to the development of constructional solutions.
greenWATERrecycling – utilization of greywater for energy recovery and for providing greywater-filtrate for watering green walls
Development of a system for energy-recovery of waste heat of greywater and of greywater-filtrate in ordert o reduce the energy consumption of hot water supply and the water consumption for irrigation.
Building planner of tomorrow
Practical courses "Integrated and sustainable planning of buildings. Results of the Austrian program - Building of Tomorrow". For architects, civil engineers, environmental engineers and other building professionals within masters programmes.
VR4UrbanDev - Virtual Reality as an innovative, digital tool for the integrative urban development of the future
Virtual reality (VR) has the potential to make complex issues more quickly comprehensible and directly tangible. In the VR4UrbanDev project, we are using this potential for energy planning processes for buildings and urban districts. On the basis of test areas, we develop methods for importing and visualising energy-related real-time data and simulation data in the VR environment.
Stanz+ - An innovative, energy-flexible plus-energy district - the centre of the village Stanz
Stanz+ is working on the implementation of an energy strategy for structurally weak municipalities with specific measures for revitalisation and re-densification in the building stock as well as the integration of renewable energy sources in the municipality of Stanz im Mürztal (Styria). The project includes multipliable approaches towards energy autonomy, hybrid use of energy networks for flexible usage and an energetic revitalisation of the village centre with the involvement of users in the "Rural Pioneers Community" for the usage of energy services.
Demonstration project senior-housing concepts for new construction and renewal in Vienna, Menzelgasse
Acompagning the process of realisation and settlement of two projects of senior-housing (new construction and renewal), documentation and general assumptions.
Integrated ecological and energy-oriented refurbishment of service buildings - development of quality criteria and tools within a pilot project (LCC-ECO)
Formulation of a procedure for the general refurbishment of service buildings and development of guidelines to support building owners and facility-managers in each stage of the refurbishment process in order to reach an integrated ecological and energy-oriented refurbishment.
"gugler! build & print triple zero" - Subproject 8: Leuchtturm gugler – Ökoeffektive Plusenergiedruckerei
On the basis of the commercial building gugler with 2140 m² useable floor area existing and 3260 m² useable floor area to be built a concept for a 100% recyclable ecoeffective building had been developed.
Energy-efficient army barracks
Holistic sanitation concepts for three selected army barracks belonging to the Austrian armed forces to achieve the standard of a low-energy house. An increase in energy efficiency and corresponding models for implementation agreed with large-volume buildings with due consideration to the special conditions prevalent within the Austrian armed forces.
AIA4ALL - development of open, modular and automatable employer’s information requirements (EIR) and BIM execution plan (BEP)
The Employer's Information Requirements - EIR (German: AIA) - serves the client to define goals and use cases for a BIM-based construction project. The aim of this project is to create a modular, machine-readable AIA that can be seamlessly integrated into the tool landscape of openBIM projects. This is done by developing an open platform for creating use cases for the AIA.
StromBIZ - demonstration projects: business models for decentralized electricity generation and distribution
Feasible business models to utilize locally generated renewable energy are expected to induce a tipping point for the "Energy Turnaround" in Austria. Within the proposed project a number of demonstration PV plants on residential and non-residential buildings had been realized. On this basis new approaches of business cases had been developed, implemented, tested and disseminated.
Research work on outside sprayed-on cellulose insulation covered with plastering
This research work was done to expand knowledge about outside sprayed-on cellulose insulation application focusing on mechanical and physical properties respectively.
BIMBestand - BIM-based management of existing buildings
The objective of this research project is to develop information requirements and process descriptions for the application of BIM models related to building services in facility management and to demonstrate the lifecycle-oriented use of these models in an open BIM environment. For this purpose, software solutions for the use of IFC in the open-source platform SIMULTAN and building management software are developed and evaluated on the basis of four typical use cases.
