IÖB-ENERGY - Public procurement for intelligent urban energy solutions
Assessment of the potential for pre-commercial procurement in the Smart City energy sector in Austria in the areas of innovative building technologies, urban energy systems and systems for urban planning. The results will serve as the basis for recommendations for future priority setting for public procurers.
ecoRegeneration: Entwicklung einer „Merit-Order“ bei Regenerationswärme für Erdsondenfelder in urbanen Wohngebieten
In urbanen Wohngebieten gibt es zu wenig aktiv-gekühlte Nutzungen, um die Abwärme des Kühlprozesses als erforderlich Regenerationswärme für Erdsondenfelder verwenden zu können; Das Free-Cooling der Wohnungen bietet eine zu geringe Wärmemenge. Das Projekt prüft verschiedene Optionen (Abwärme von Gewerbenutzungen in Erdgeschoßzonen, gezielte Ansiedelung von Datenzentren, zusätzliche Installation von Wärmebereitstellungssystemen) innerhalb des Siedlungsgebietes, erarbeitet Geschäftsmodelle und bewertet den Wärmepreis sämtlicher Lösungen, sodass eine Art „Merit-Order“ für Regenerationswärme erstellt werden kann.
ecoRegeneration: Development of a "Merit-Order" in order to assess regeneration heat for geothermal probes within urban residential neighbourhoods
In urban residential areas there are not enough active-cooled usages, to use the waste heat of the cooling process as required regeneration heat for geothermal probes; free cooling of the apartments is not sufficient. The project is developing various options (waste heat from commercial uses in the ground floor zones of residential buildings, by using waste heat of data centres, additional installation of heat generation systems for regeneration) within the urban settlement area, business models and is calculating life-cycle-costs of all solutions. The result should be a kind of "merit order" for regeneration heat.
REC-Businesspark - Investigation of the first Austrian renewable energy community business and industrial park
In the course of the project, the conceptual design of a zero-emission or plus-energy business park in Weiz with a focus on photovoltaics and fuel cells in combination with a Renewable Energy Community (E-EGe) had been carried out. By establishing the park on a "greenfield", all structures can be created according to the requirements of the E-EGe.

Zweigeteiltes Projekt: Biomasse-Nahwärmenetze mit Solaranlagen, Untersuchung der ökonomischen und ökologischen Sinnhaftigkeit der Koppelung von zwei CO2-neutralen Energieträgern; Solaranlagen für Mehrfamilienhäuser, Erstellung von standardisierten Systemkonzepten und Planungsrichtlinien.

Im Projekt „Speicher-Kaskade MZ“ sollen Batteriespeichersysteme auf unterschiedlichen Netzebenen der Stadt(werke) Mürzzuschlag implementiert werden, deren Messdaten ein integriertes Netzmonitoring ermöglichen und den Grundstein für den weiteren Ausbau der Photovoltaik (PV)-Nennleistung vor Ort schaffen.

Entwicklung von ganzheitlichen Konzepten für den typischen Geschoßwohnbau, die Sanierungen von großvolumigen Bauten auf höchstem energetischem Niveau bei gleichzeitig hoher Nutzerakzeptanz in der Umsetzungsphase ('Bewohnte Baustelle") als auch danach (Komfort, Behaglichkeit, Leistbarkeit) zulassen. Maßgebende Entwicklungskomponenten: ganzheitliche Dach- bzw. Fassadenlösungen mit hohem Vorfertigungsgrad, gute Integrationsmöglichkeit von Energiefassaden bzw. -dächer und eine Komplett-Integration der Energieverteil- und Abgabesysteme.

Development of integrated concepts for multi-storey buildings, which enable renovations of buildings with high energy efficiency at good user acceptance during the realisation phase as well as afterwards (comfort, affordability). Relevant components: integrated solutions of roof and façade with high rate of pre-fabrication, the possibility of integrating the energy façade/roofs and energy distribution and supply.

Im Projekt "Green SandboxBuilder" wurde erstmals in Österreich der Bedarf an Regulatory Sandboxes für ökologisch nachhaltige und klimawirksame Vorhaben im Baubereich systematisch erhoben. In the "Green SandboxBuilder" project, for the first time in Austria, the need for regulatory sandboxes for ecologically sustainable and climate-effective projects in the building sector had been systematically explored. The implementation of regulatory sandboxes in the Austrian construction sector can contribute to decisively accelerating the introduction of technological, procedural and social innovations and thus to achieving the sustainability goals.

Die Eigenschaften thermisch aktivierter Betondecken werden mittels mehrdimensionaler Simulation ausgelotet. Neben stationären Ansätzen zwecks Auslegung der Registerflächen wird der Fokus auf das instationäre Verhalten der thermisch aktivierten Geschoßdecke und deren Nutzbarkeit als Speicher für Erneuerbare Energien gelegt.

Differenzierung nach Gebäudetypen, Energieträger und Ermittlung der realen Treibhausgas-Emissionen. Vergleich der gemessenen Verbräuche zu Benchmark-Werten.
