IEA-PVPS Task 13: Performance and Reliability of Photovoltaic Systems (working period 2010-2018)
The Task 13 provides a common independent platform whereby quality aspects of PV systems and its components are elaborated and exchanged amongst the stakeholders, and disseminates this knowledge to different market actors.

IEA PVPS Task 12: Photovoltaics (PV) Sustainability Activities (working period 2024 - 2027)
Photovoltaics (PV) is a renewable energy source that is an important technology for the energy transition. For this reason, or rather despite this, it is important to consider sustainability aspects in PV as well. End-of-life solutions in particular play an important role, as a strong increase in the number of end-of-life modules is expected in the coming years. Well-functioning recycling methods, repair possibilities or reuse options are of great importance. In this project, these existing methods and capacities in Austria are being researched and published in reports and workshops.

IEA PVPS Task 15: Acceleration of BIPV
Building integrated Photovoltaics (BIPV) is one of the future markets for Photovoltaics which enables the combination of architecture and energy technology. The project focussed on further national research in the area of BIPV, which is to be raised to an international level.
IEA PVPS Task 14: High Penetration of PV Systems in Electricity Grids (working period 2010 - 2014)
The main goal of Task 14 is to promote the use of grid-connected PV as an important source in electric power systems at the higher penetration levels that may require additional efforts to integrate dispersed generators. The aim of these efforts is to reduce the technical barriers to achieving high penetration levels of distributed renewable systems.
IEA PVPS Task 15: Builiding integrated Photovoltaic (Working period 2019 - 2023)
The IEA PVPS Task 15 promotes building-integrated photovoltaics (BIPV) by overcoming technical and non-technical barriers. Despite its potential, BIPV remains largely underutilised due to economic, legal and normative barriers, lack of knowledge transfer and business models. Task 15.2 addresses these issues through research exchange and bridging gaps between BIPV stakeholders to accelerate the implementation and market penetration of BIPV.

IEA PVPS Task 13 Workshop - Bifacial Tracking Systems

It will include talks and discussion sessions from experts in IEA PVPS Task 13, as well as a variety of industry perspectives from module and tracker manufacturers, monitoring companies, and developers.

Visualisierungen der Technologiekooperationsprogramme der IEA 2020
Im Rahmen der Forschungskooperation der IEA findet eine weltweite Zusammenarbeit für die Energieversorgung der Zukunft statt. Auf einer Graphen-Datenbank basierende Visualisierungen zeigen die umfangreichen Aktivitäten der einzelnen Technologiekooperationsprogramme (TCPs) auf. Die Kooperationen der Staaten zu einzelnen Themen werden so ebenfalls gut sichtbar.
IEA PVPS Task 12: Nachhaltigkeit von Photovoltaik (Arbeitsperiode 2024 - 2027)
Photovoltaik (PV) ist eine regenerative Energieerzeugung, die einen wichtigen Beitrag für die Energiewende darstellt. Aber es ist wichtig, Nachhaltigkeitsaspekte auch in der PV zu berücksichtigen. Vor allem End-of-Life Lösungen spielen eine wichtige Rolle, da in den kommenden Jahren mit einem starken Anstieg an ausgedienten Modulen zu rechnen ist. Gut funktionierende Recyclingmethoden, Reparaturmöglichkeiten oder Wiederverwendungs-Optionen sind von großer Bedeutung. Die in Österreich vorhandenen Methoden und Kapazitäten werden recherchiert und veröffentlicht.
IEA PVPS Task 14: Hohe Durchdringung von Photovoltaik in Elektrischen Netzen (Arbeitsperiode 2010 - 2014)
Der von Österreich als Operating Agent geleitete IEA PVPS Task 14 „High Penetration of PV in Electricity Grids“ analysiert im speziellen die Durchdringung von Photovoltaik-Erzeugungsanlagen in den elektrischen Netzen und erarbeitet Szenarien, um Anforderungen und technische Rahmenbedingungen zur optimalen Netzintegration abzuleiten. Ziel ist es, die Verwendung von netzgekoppelter Photovoltaik als wichtiger, erneuerbarer Energiequelle zu fördern und eine hohe Durchdringungsrate durch Optimierung der Integration verteilter Erzeuger zu ermöglichen.
IEA PVPS Task 13: Leistungsfähigkeit, Betrieb und Zuverlässigkeit von Photovoltaiksystemen (Arbeitsperiode 2024 - 2025)
IEA PVPS Task 13 konzentriert sich auf die internationale Zusammenarbeit zur Verbesserung der Zuverlässigkeit von Photovoltaiksystemen und -teilsystemen durch die Sammlung, Analyse und Verbreitung von Informationen über ihre technische Leistung und Lebensdauer, die Bereitstellung einer Grundlage für ihre technische Bewertung und die Entwicklung praktischer Empfehlungen zur Verbesserung ihrer elektrischen und wirtschaftlichen Leistung in verschiedenen Klimaregionen.
IEA PVPS Task 12: Umwelt, Gesundheit und Sicherheit (Arbeitsperiode 2016 - 2018)
Ziel ist es, internationale Zusammenarbeit zur Umweltwirkung von Photovoltaik zu unterstützen. Dazu gehören Erstellung und Dissemination von verlässlichen Informationen zu Umwelt, Gesundheit und Sicherheit sowie aller Dimensionen der Nachhaltigkeit über den gesamten Lebenszyklus der Photovoltaik.

IEA PVPS Aktionsgruppe „Agri-Photovoltaik“ (Arbeitsperiode 2025 - 2026)
Agri-Photovoltaik kombiniert Freiflächen-PV-Anlagen mit Landwirtschaft, um eine nachhaltige Landnutzung zu fördern. Ziel dieser Arbeitsgruppe ist es, internationale Erkenntnisse zu Agri-PV zu sammeln und zu analysieren. Der Fokus liegt auf effizienter Flächennutzung, Klimawandelresistenz in der Landwirtschaft und gesellschaftlicher Akzeptanz für Solarenergie.
IEA PVPS Task 17 - Photovoltaik für Transport (Arbeitsperiode 2018 - 2021)
Die IEA PVPS Task 17 konzentriert sich auf mögliche Beiträge von Photovoltaik-Technologien zum Transportwesen sowie auf das erwartete Marktpotenzial von Photovoltaikanwendungen im Transportsektor.
