"gugler! build & print triple zero" - subproject 2: building with recycros
Building with recycros is working out basics in order to close the cycle of materials in the building sector as well as to increase the usage of recycled materials (recycros). The existing material cycles in the building sector are going to be analysed. Furthermore, there will be a catalogue presented, covering the actual situation of which materials are used in today´s engineering and how the waste is treated. The project will be completed with a summary of results and a proposal of concrete materials and constructional systems for the building project gugler.
Gründerzeit with future - subproject 5: Documentation and monitoring
The main aim is the documentation and monitoring of the demonstration projects within the scope of the project "Historical buildings of tomorrow" with regard to the technical implementation, investment and operation costs and to the energetic performance. All demonstration projects will be accompanied by an evaluation process regarding occupants' satisfaction and the refurbishment process. Beyond that, legal constraints for innovative refurbishment of historical buildings will be documented and proposals for adaptations of the rental law and refurbishment subsidy schemes will be developed.

LifeCycle Tower - Energieeffizientes Holzhochhaus in Systembauweise
Aufbauend auf den Ergebnissen vorangegangener Forschungsarbeiten wurde im vorliegenden Projekt ein Holzfertigteil-Baukastensystem zur Errichtung energieeffizienter Bürohochhäuser mit bis zu 20 Geschoßen entwickelt, das sowohl nachhaltig ist, als auch Kostensicherheit während des gesamten Lebenszyklus bietet.
Monitoring und Evaluierung von städtischen Energieflüssen
Ausgangsbasis für das Projekt sind die Energiestatistiken. In einem ersten Schritt wird die Erhebungsmethodik im Detail analysiert. Basierend auf den Erkenntnissen der Analyse wird eine Methodik zur Erstellung städtischer Energieflüsse erstellt. Diese wird mithilfe des zu entwickelnden Planungsinstruments "Senflusk" an 5 Referenzstädten getestet.

Programmmanagement und Kommunikation in der missionsorientierten Forschungsförderung
Diese Studie stellt sich die Frage, wie Programmmanagement und Wissenskommunikation in der missionsorientierten, angewandten Forschung konzipiert und effektiv umgesetzt werden können. Mittels Literatur- und Dokumentenanalyse, Stakeholderanalyse, internationaler Fallstudien, Interviews, Fokusgruppen sowie einem Co-Creationworkshop wurden Rückschlüsse auf die aktuelle Wirkung der Kommunikationsdimensionen des Programmes "Stadt der Zukunft" gezogen und Überlegungen hinsichtlich der Weiterentwicklungsmöglichkeiten zu Missionsorientierung nach OECD-Definition angestellt. Das resultierende Modell wurde in einem finalen Reflexionsworkshop mit dem Auftraggeber diskutiert.

ExTra - ExergyTrafos for heating and air conditioning through district heating
As a contribution to the reduction of CO2 emissions, the project aims at upgrading existing heating networks by adding new devices, so-called exergy trafos, to the heat-exchanging transfer stations. Dabei wurden im Rahmen von Fallstudien für ausgewählte energiebezogene städtische Handlungsfelder sowohl relevante rechtlich-institutionelle Rahmenbedingungen als auch Governance-Prozesse betrachtet.
PHplusCAD, IT-based efficient Passive house- and Plusenergy house-Planning
Elaboration and programming of a software that reduces effort and time consumption of Passive house and Plusenergy house planning. By developing direct interfaces between CAD-applications and PHplusCAD and interfaces between PHplusCAD and Passivhouse planning tools based on MS Excel the system could be improved and the related working processes alleviated.
LichtAusFassade - Optimierte Tages- und Kunstlichtversorgung über Fassaden
Multifunktionelle Fassadenelemente mit integrierten Kunst- und Tageslichtsystemen wurden lichttechnisch und energetisch simuliert und evaluiert (Energiebedarf und Lichtqualität). Die Ergebnisse sind Grundlage für weitere Fassadenentwicklungen und universitäre Ausbildung.

Erarbeitung von Grundlagen und konkreten Vorschlägen für Hochbaukonstruktionen, die in höchstem Maß recyclierbar sind, mit besonderem Augenmerk auf Fügetechniken und Verbindungen sowie Konstruktionsvorschlägen samt ökologischer und bauphysikalischer Kennwerte sowie Kostenvergleichen wurden erstellt.
