The project coordinates several projects in the urban quarter Lehen to ensure increase of energy efficiency and sustainable development. This subproject contains the coordination of the partners and projects in order to reach defined standards of quality, coordination and cooperation with the program "Building of Tomorrow" and other flagship projects as well as the documentation of results.
Adsorbent Materials of Residues from Corn Cob
Development and testing of processes to produce adsorptive materials from agricultural residues of corn production with focus on corn cob grit as oil bonding agent (e.g., applicable to the remediation of oil spills).
Testing the sustainable hospital.
Based on a feasibility study an interdisciplinary team of researchers supports hospital practitioners implementing the concept of sustainable development in a pilot hospital. Changes within three key areas should lead to significant improvements.

Virtual Biogas - Biogas-Upgrading and Grid-Injection
Production of natural gas substitute from biogas and grid-injection to the public natural gas grid on an industrial scale using the two-staged membrane separation process gaspermeation.
