IEA Bioenergy Task 40 traditionally focused on international trade and supply chains of biomass for bioenergy. Starting in 2018, the systems view was broadened, also to better meet Austrian requirements. The supply chain focus was maintained, but with a broader premise: The establishment of bio-based value chains for a sustainable and fair bioeconomy.
Demonstration building of the eco²building system: First passive house prefabricated wood building system for commercial and industrial buildings
The EU funded "eco2building" construction system in a timber-frame based modular design represents a systematic approach for energy efficient commercial and industrial buildings. The object of the eco²building demonstration project - the logistics centre in passive-house quality for "Eine Welt Handel AG" - in Niklasdorf was to optimize the planning and construction processes and prepare for the market launch of the eco²building construction system. AFOM - Automatic failure and optimisation analysis by data-acquisition
In the project, methods will be developed for analysing measured value curves to detect changes in operation or failures in the system. By integrating BIM data of buildings, corresponding models will be generated to validate the heating, ventilation, and air conditioning (HVAC)-networks, which will be used for analysis.
