"gugler! build & print triple zero" - Subproject 7: Integrated General Planning

The aim of the subproject 7 is to aggregate a "normal" general planning process with innovative additional services. In the spirit of integrated planning in the design a higher number of design parameters must be resolved. This is different to a classic planning process with linear and chronological lined up add ons.

Short Description

Summary

Starting point / motivation

The subproject 7 "innovative parts of the integrated general planning“ is based on the two basic research subprojects 2 and 3, and integrates the results of subprojects 4 (energy plan), 5 (eco-effective building) and 6 (Integration C2C production process) in the planning process.

The two preparatory subprojects 2 and 3 - recycros and recyclability - are the basic research required to gain the material cycle closure. The result is a general catalogue and several design proposals. They meet with the requirements for the building (95% recyclable, 25% recycled content).

The subprojects 4, 5, and 6 are going along with the general planning with technical inputs from the respective areas. In sub-rpject 4 a "plus-energy plan" was developed. Sub-project 5 determines the LCA data for the specific planning and the increased biodiversity through the construction.

Subproject 6 gives guidance obtained from the objective of the C2C (cradle to cradle) printing process.

Contents and goals

The aim of the subproject 7 is a „normal“ general planning process with those innovative additional services in the planning fields of architecture, planning coordinator according to BauKG, structural engineering, building services, building physics, landscape design and lighting.

In the spirit of integrated planning in the design a higher number of design parameters must be resolved. This is different to a classic planning process with linear and chronological lined up add ons.

In addition to the objectives of the pilot project application 2009 – plus- energy, eco-efficiency, use of recycled materials and recyclable designs - the target for the planning process is a design that brings to life visible and invisible processes inside and outside the building. This applies to the materials, the energy, material and non-material flows (real communication areas, productive tension between thought and action). As a living example of best practice - a „Sustainability Showroom“ - the house invites foreign innovations to participate. Products, services, and ideas from partners will find their place and provide a climate of perceptible evolution. The house is showroom and future space laboratory in one place.

The friction surfaces of the building shall be visible as well. On the one hand the house replaces agricultural area, on the other hand it enables new forms of cultivation such as permaculture and enables nature to come as close as possible. It confronts feverish creation and contemplative retreat. It combines efficient production and oppositional knowledge acquisition. It symbolizes economic success and the orientation of public interest.
