The aim of this project was to estimate the potential to reduce urban heat islands via low-tech measures such as the variation of the surface albedo, using the City of Vienna as an example. A new train station is being built near the exit portal of the future Koralm railway tunnel in Carinthia, in connection with a CO2-neutral technology park.
