IEA PVPS Task 12: Photovoltaics Sustainability (working period 2018 - 2021)
The aim of IEA PVPS Task 12 is to foster international collaboration in the area of photovoltaics and environment. That includes compiling and disseminating accurate information on environment, health, safety, and other aspects of sustainability associated with the life-cycle of photovoltaics. Results are guidelines and data basis in order to harmonize LCAs and studies on future environmental impacts of PV and PV recycling. The Austrian contribution addresses LCA and implementation of sustainability aspects.

IEA PVPS Task 12: Umwelt, Gesundheit und Sicherheit (Arbeitsperiode 2016 - 2018)
Ziel ist es, internationale Zusammenarbeit zur Umweltwirkung von Photovoltaik zu unterstützen. Dazu gehören Erstellung und Dissemination von verlässlichen Informationen zu Umwelt, Gesundheit und Sicherheit sowie aller Dimensionen der Nachhaltigkeit über den gesamten Lebenszyklus der Photovoltaik.
IEA PVPS Task 14: Photovoltaische Solarenergie im 100% Erneuerbaren Stromversorgungssystem (Arbeitsperiode 2018 - 2024)
Der 2024 abgeschlossene IEA-PVPS Task 14 förderte die internationale Zusammenarbeit, um die technische Basis für eine zu 100% auf Erneuerbaren Energien basierende Stromversorgung mit Photovoltaik als zentraler Säule zu schaffen. Der Task fokussierte dabei auf integralen Ansätzen für den Betrieb und die Planung von Stromversorgungssystemen mit Photovoltaik, sowie die Integration in Smart Grids, mit dem Ziel, die erzeugte Energie optimal und effizient zur Deckung des Verbrauchs zu nutzen.
IEA PVPS Task 12: Nachhaltigkeit von Photovoltaik (Arbeitsperiode 2018 - 2021)
Ziel des IEA PVPS Task 12 ist es, internationale Zusammenarbeit zur Umweltwirkung von Photovoltaik zu unterstützen. Dazu gehören Erstellung und Dissemination von verlässlichen Informationen zu Umwelt, Gesundheit und Sicherheit sowie aller Dimensionen der Nachhaltigkeit über den gesamten Lebenszyklus der PV. Der österreichische Beitrag zu Task 12 betrifft vor allem LCA und Implementierung von Nachhaltigkeitsaspekten.
