For research purposes a cooling systems (70 kW) will be installed in Gleisdorf where the company EnergyCabin is located.

Autology - the automated ontology generator
Ontologies form the basis for the acquisition, analysis/processing, utilization, documentation, and archiving of building and component data throughout all stages of the lifecycle. Currently, the semantic description and structuring of data can only be achieved with significant manual effort. At this point, the Autology project utilizes Artificial Intelligence. The overarching project objective is the automated extraction and generation of metadata for the creation of ontologies from the building automation system, employing innovative AI-based approaches.

CityStore pursues a first-of-its-kind, innovative approach on spatial location of storage needs and potentials. This includes the evaluation of concrete challenges and prerequisites as well as the identification of useful storage technologies and capacities. Model calculations for the model cities Graz and Weiz will be carried out. If, and to which extent, the results can be generalized will be investigated in the Follower Region South Burgenland. The results should enable optimized planning and realization of urban energy storage facilities – thereby enabling targeted investments in energy infrastructure to achieve (local) climate and energy targets.

The "oh456 Plus Energy Office Building" with its adjoining small hydro-electric power plant shall serve as a prototype for testing innovative technologies and also provide the companies residing in the building integral home surroundings comprising common break and leisure facilities. In OctoAI, we combine the concept of edge AI with user-centric energy services and test two edge-ready applications.
Demonstration project LifeCycle Tower - batch-produced energy efficient timber/hybrid high-rise building system
The energy efficient building concept shall be tested with regard to its functional efficiency and real usage conditions. The demonstration project is based upon the results of previous research activities and shall be presented to a wider public. Plus energy office building - Subproject 3: Austria's biggest plus energy office building
In course of the refurbishment of the Vienna University of Technology (Univercity 2015) Austria´s biggest plus energy office building is going to be built. This project intends to demonstrate not only the technical but furthermore the economical feasibility of plus energy office buildings. Within this building the plus energy concept is fulfilled by optimizing the power consumption of the whole building and the installation of Austria´s largest facade integrated photovoltaic plant.
