The project identified dynamic potentials of possible active and passive energy yields of construction units with use of renewable energy sources, pointed future solutions to energy-efficient and ecological design of building construction-units and united all results to a signpost: From today's passive house to the energy-plus-house of the future.

KoPro Lzk+ - Cost and process optimization in the life cycle of nearly zero energy buildings

The aim of the project was to develop a continuous process chain for the energetic-economic optimization of zero and plus energy buildings. The project focused on proven and new approaches to cost reduction of nearly zero energy buildings (nZEBs) at all stages of the life cycle. The main goal was to identify the extra-costs for nZEBs, and to promote innovative approaches taking into account the cost-effectiveness for all the Stakeholders. A database containing important cost parameters and potential savings will be developed.

Maintenance costs for central air ventilation systems are approximately 0,42 Euro/m².a excluding VAT, for decentralized systems 1,16 Euro/m².a excluding VAT. 50% savings in operating costs of apartment passive houses opposed to apartment low-energy buildings [SCH11] can be achieved with maintenance costs of around 0,42 Euro/m².a.
