IEA PVPS Task 12: PV Environmental Health And Safety (working period 2016-2018)
The aim of IEA PVPS Task 12 is to foster international collaboration in the area of photovoltaics and environment. That includes compiling and disseminating accurate Information on environment, health, safety, and other aspects of sustainability associated with the life-cycle of photovoltaics. The austrian contribution addresses LCA, implementation of sustainability aspects and dissemination.

The talk will summarize research done in Denmark on the usability of low-cost air quality sensors for controlling of residential ventilation. The experiments studied sensors’ performance under typical air polluting activities occurring in homes. The presentation will also discuss pros and cons with respect to sensors’ suitability for demand control of residential ventilation.

IEA HPT Annex 68: Industrial High-Temperature Heat Pumps
High-temperature heat pumps are key elements in the decarbonisation of industrial process heat. In this project, existing activities to promote the market ramp-up of this technology will be continued. An existing technology database of manufacturers, their close-to-market or market-available products and demonstration projects will be continued. Moreover, recommendations for sector-specific solutions and training materials will be developed and disseminated to relevant target groups.
