PROMISE - Production with solar energy. Study on the potential of thermal solar energy systems in trade and industry depending on the production processes
Documentation of realized plants for the use of thermal solar energy in trade and industry companies. Identification of production processes and branches, which have a demand for low-temperature heat. Determine the potential of solarthermal systems to provide low-temperature heat. Case studies for branches and processes with the highest mid-term potential for realization of a solar plant.
Total Quality Design and Assessment of buildings as a strategy to increase the level of know-how with regard to the issue of "sustainable buildings".

Total Quality Design and Assessment is an instrument to increase the demand for high quality buildings; "high quality" in terms of improved comfort as well as decrease in negative environmental impact, at affordable costs. Application of TQ design targets requires additional and new knowledge, thus increasing the level of know-how with regard to the issue of "sustainable buildings".
Booklet issued by Building of Tomorrow with about 20 practical passive house thermal bridges free connection details for large-volume residential buildings
In particular, for buildings with very low energy consumption on heating the influence of heat bridges have a special value. Since in passive house construction a largely heat bridge free execution is required, the most frequent and significant heat bridges are collected in a booklet.
Test stand method for the determination of system efficiency and emission factors of small-scale biomass combustion systems
Determination of key data with practical relevance of typical applications in only one test run. Monitoring of air pollutants and efficiency and continuous improvement of technology possible with test stand method.
"Building of Tomorrow" on the road - knowledge transfer of the results from "Building of Tomorrow" to existing traineeships
Knowledge transfer of the programme "Building of Tomorrow" to specialists on universities, advanced technical colleges, polytechnics, construction academies, administration academies. Themes: Energy, Construction and Building Physics, Ecology and Architecture and Sociology.
OPTISOL - Demonstration objects accompanied by measurement techniques for optimised and standardised solar systems in the construction of residential buildings for several families

The implementation of optimised solar heat supply systems in the construction of residential buildings for several families within the framework of an in-depth test.
Development of agitation systems in biogas plants in order to optimize mixing-behaviour and to reduce energy demand with the help of Computational Fluid Dynamics (CFD) simulation
The purpose of this project is the investigation of the mixing-behaviour and performance of the agitation systems in biogas plants, and to present them through Computational Fluid Dynamics (CFD) simulation. This EDP-tool can model and predict the actual fluid dynamics in a closed system. Thus it may help to plan optimal reactor geometries, position and combination of agitation systems as well as to minimize the energy requirements.
Use of thermal cooling technologies and optimal combination with other heat energy consumers to use during summer the available district heating based on renewable energy sources: example of the municipality of Mureck
Optimal use of heating energy from a biogas CHP in the municipality of Mureck through demand side measures; the multifunctional energy centre Mureck on the way towards thermal air-conditioning: Multi-Mukli
IEA Bioenergy Task 39: Biofuels to Decarbonize Transport (Working period 2022 - 2024)
The long-term goal of Task 39 is to drive decarbonisation in the transport sector using biogenic, sustainable, low-carbon fuels. This includes conventional and advanced biofuels that can be produced via different technological routes (oleochemical, biochemical, thermochemical and hybrid). In the 2022-2024 triennium, the focus was increasingly on long-haul transport, which is more difficult to electrify.
