Path to the Future (WEG zur Zukunft) - The Path to Implementing a Climate-Resilient Future in Condominium Ownership
The research project "WEG zur Zukunft / Path to the Future" examines the low renovation rates of condominium owners' associations (WEGs) in Austria and the associated communicative, regulatory, organizational, and financial challenges. In collaboration with the affected stakeholders – primarily owners and property management companies – foundations for solutions are being developed through a co-creative process that can assist in the path toward implementation.

The project aims to optimize energy use in the district through savings, densification, retrofitting, and energy storage. Additionally, climate-adapted open spaces are intended to enhance quality of life and resilience. The result serves as a source of ideas for contemporary revitalization and forms the basis for the implementation of the demonstration project.

Im Rahmen des Forschungsprojektes wurde die bautechnische Konstruktion von Standarddetails bestimmt. Details wurden recherchiert, analysiert und bewertet und hinsichtlich des Parameters "Kreislauffähigkeit" (weiter-) entwickelt oder umgearbeitet. Das Ergebnis besteht in kreislauffähigen Standarddetails sowie der Identifizierung von Problemstellen und Potentialen.
Circular Standards: Development of a circular standard-detail-catalogue
In this research project, the technical design of standardized constructions details was the subject of investigation. Construction details were researched, analyzed and evaluated and (further) developed or revised with regard to the parameter "recyclability". The result consists of circular-standard-details and the identification of problem areas and opportunities.
