Preparation of an urban innovation laboratory to support decarbonisation in Vienna by 2040. The focus is on systemic innovation and accelerated roll-out of RTI projects through infrastructure, services, networking and the systematic involvement of city administration and users. The innovation lab is intended to strengthen the effectiveness of innovations and the participation of the Viennese in the transformation.
Climate-School-Life - Preparation of the climate-neutral educational campus in Gratwein-Straßengel
The project aims to start the transformation process of the educational campus of the market town of Gratwein-Straßengel into climate-neutrality. The need for the expansion and modernisation of the elementary school forms the central part of this development. A few years ago, the municipality of Innsbruck set up a Smart City Group consisting of staff from the municipality, IIG, IKB and IVB to address this challenge. The goal of INN'F4UM is to develop a step-by-step plan to achieve climate neutrality for the city by 2030, building on an up-to-date representation of energy and resource flows together with the University of Innsbruck.

Salzburg:KanS - Salzburg: Climate-neutral city
Salzburg:KanS aligns the vision and climate protection goals of the city of Salzburg with the climate neutrality targets of the province and estimates the sector-specific CO2 reduction contributions until 2030. Based on these contributions, the project develops implementation strategies for the entire city as well as the focus areas of “climate-neutral mobility” and “climate-neutral neighborhoods”.
SmartCity Baumgarten - Demonstration of an anergy network and implementation of climate-friendly solutions in existing districts
Implementation of a cross-property anergy network for the supply of heating, cooling and electricity in an existing neighbourhood. With this demonstration project, a technical-legal alternative for areas outside of district heating supply is developed, which makes it possible for neighbourhoods to join together to use renewable energies in common.
