Das Projekt „Villab - Sondierung“ dient der Überprüfung der Machbarkeit eines urbanen Innovationslabors zur Beschleunigung der Transformation Villacher Quartiere in Richtung Klimaneutralität. Die positive Machbarkeit vorausgesetzt, werden die Kooperationen mit relevanten Stakeholdern vertieft und ein Businessplan für ein künftiges Innovationslabor erstellt.
INN'FIT4UM - Innsbruck "Fit4UrbanMission" - climate neutral Innsbruck 2030
Cities are the place where decarbonization strategies for energy, transport and buildings intersect. A few years ago, the municipality of Innsbruck set up a Smart City Group consisting of staff from the municipality, IIG, IKB and IVB to address this challenge. The goal of INN'F4UM is to develop a step-by-step plan to achieve climate neutrality for the city by 2030, building on an up-to-date representation of energy and resource flows together with the University of Innsbruck.

lieBeKlima hat zum Ziel, die Umsetzung eines liegenschafts- und systemübergreifenden Begrünungskonzeptes für das Quartier „Am Kempelenpark” anzustoßen und mit neuartigen, identitätsstiftenden Partizipationsprozessen und einem umfassenden Qualitätssicherungsprozess in die Realität zu bringen. Dabei liegt der Fokus auf einer verschränkten Betrachtung von integralen Begrünungskonzepten mit übergeordnetem Wassermanagement und Plus-Energie-Konzepten.
lieBeKlima - quality assurance of cross-property greening for urban climate resilience in the neighbourhood development "Am Kempelenpark"
lieBeKlima aims to initiate the implementation of a cross-property and cross-system greening concept for the "Am Kempelenpark" neighbourhood development. This will be realized with innovative, identity-creating participation processes and a comprehensive quality assurance process. The focus lies on an interconnected consideration of integral greening concepts with higher-level water management and plus-energy concepts.
GameOpSys - Gamification for optimizing the energy consumption of buildings and higher-level systems
The central goal is the development of a mobile application that enables the energy optimization and planning of buildings, neighborhoods and higher-level energy systems through the participation of the user and the user as a new source of data and information. The development of the application is strongly transdisciplinary and integrates mathematical methods of simulation and optimization as well as psychological aspects of user behavior in order to develop new business models and open up new markets.
greening UP! Nachhaltige Grünpflege, Wartung, Instandhaltung von vertikalen Begrünungen inkl. rechtliche Aspekte
Im Projekt wurden aufbauend auf umfassenden Erhebungen und Analysen von bestehenden vertikalen Gebäudebegrünungen in Außenräumen (boden- und systemgebundene Fassadenbegrünungen) und vertikalen Innenraumbegrünungen passgenaue Grünpflege-, Wartungs- und Instandhaltungskonzepte erarbeitet und rechtliche Aspekte adressiert. Der "greening UP!"-Wissenspool mit konkreten Empfehlungen und anschaulich aufbereitetem Wissen sowie die Konzeption eines digitalen Tools zur "Ersten Grünen Hilfe" runden das Projekt ab.
greening UP! Sustainable green maintenance, maintenance, maintenance of vertical greenery including legal aspects
Based on extensive surveys and analyses of existing vertical building greenery in outdoor areas (floor and system-bound façade greening) and vertical interior greenery, the project developed tailor-made green care, maintenance and repair concepts and addresses legal aspects. The "greening UP!" Knowledge pool with concrete recommendations and clearly presented findings as well as the conception of a digital tool for the "First Green Aid" complete the project.
GameOpSys - Gamification für die Optimierung des Energieverbrauchs von Gebäuden und übergeordneten Systemen
Zentrales Ziel ist die Entwicklung einer mobilen Anwendung, welche durch Partizipation des Nutzers und der Nutzerin als neue Daten- und Informationsquelle die Energieoptimierung und Planung von Gebäuden, Quartieren und übergeordneten Energiesystemen ermöglicht. Die Entwicklung der Anwendung erfolgt stark transdisziplinär und integriert dabei mathematische Methoden der Simulation und Optimierung sowie psychologische Aspekte des Nutzerverhaltens um neue Geschäftsmodelle zu erarbeiten und neue Märkte zu erschließen.

Städte sind der Ort, an dem sich Dekarbonisierungs-Strategien für Energie, Verkehr und Gebäude überschneiden. Die Landeshauptstadt Innsbruck hat vor einigen Jahren eine Smart City Gruppe ins Leben gerufen, die sich aus Mitarbeiter:innen des Stadtmagistrates, der IIG, der IKB und den IVB zusammensetzt, um sich dieser Herausforderung anzunehmen. Ziel in INN’F4UM ist es, aufbauend auf einer aktuellen Darstellung der Energie- und Ressourcenflüsse gemeinsam mit der Universität Innsbruck einen Stufenplan zur Erreichung der Klimaneutralität der Stadt bis 2030 zu entwickeln.

Plus-Energy-Campus - Energy-flexible Positive Energy District with "Living Lab"
The project explored paths to a sustainable, future-proof Positive Energy-District (PED) in the area surrounding the location of the University of Applied Sciences Vienna (FH-Technikum Wien). The feasibility of a new university building as a Plus-Energy teaching building had been examined in detail to prepare its implementation. Central innovation contents are the energetic flexibilization of the new building and the quarter as well as the conception of the Plus-Energy building as a "Living Lab".

Am Beispiel des gemeinschaftlich geplanten Wohnprojekts „KooWo“ in Volkersdorf soll Suffizienz umgesetzt und das übergeordnete Ziel einer ganzheitlichen Energie- und CO2-Reduktion erreicht werden. Das Wohnprojekt verschiebt die Systemgrenze von einer nutzflächenbezogenen zu einer personen- und Sozialgemeinschaft-bezogenen Betrachtungsweise und generiert durch einen kollektiven Lebensraum Einsparungspotentiale beim Ressourcenverbrauch pro Kopf.
Cooperative Living Volkersdorf (KooWo - Volkersdorf) - sufficiency, space and energy efficiency in the quarter
The jointly planned demonstration project "KooWo" in Volkersdorf aims at reaching sufficiency as well as energy and CO2 reductions in a holistic way. System boundaries are shifted in order not to look only at energy consumption in buildings, relating to unit of floor space, but to consider all use of resources and relating it to persons and social communities.
ReHABITAT-Siedlung: Nachhaltige Sanierung und Wohnraumaktivierung einer Einfamilienhaussiedlung in Mistelbach
Sondierung einer nachhaltigen Einfamilienhaus-Siedlungssanierung mit ganzheitlich gedachter Nachhaltigkeitsdefinition, die beim Menschen ansetzt, auf Suffizienz basiert und auch Grün-, und Freiräume, soziale Faktoren und Mobilität mitberücksichtigt. Ergebnis ist ein integrales Gesamtkonzept auf Haus- und Siedlungsebene und eine übertragbare Herangehensweise für andere Gemeinden.

Planung, Errichtung und Optimierung einer Vertikalen Farm zur urbanen Lebensmittelproduktion, unter Einbindung der Nutzer:innen in den operativen Betrieb. Das Gebäude und das Betreiber:innenkonzept bilden dabei die gesamte Lebensmittelwertschöpfungskette ab, von der Aussaat bis zum Verkauf.

SocialLowCostFlex - Gemeinschaftliche flexible Low-Cost-Energieversorgungskonzepte im sozialen Wohnbau
Ziel des Projekts war die Erarbeitung von Konzepten für gemeinschaftliche Erzeugungsanlagen bzw. lokale Energiegemeinschaften in sozialen Wohnbauten sowie die Entwicklung von Low-Cost Ansätzen, um vorhandene thermische und elektrische Flexibilitäten mit minimal invasiven Eingriffen für das Stromsystem zu aktivieren und zur Steigerung des Eigenverbrauchs im Wohnbau bzw. Quartier, aber auch im Sinne des Gesamtsystems zu nutzen. Ergebnis des Projekts sind auf ihre Realisierbarkeit geprüfte Low Cost Konzepte und Geschäftsmodelle zur Umsetzung von gemeinschaftlichen Energieerzeugungs- und –nutzungskonzepten im sozialen Wohnbau.
SocialLowCostFlex - Collaborative flexible low-cost energy supply concepts for social housing
This project aimed for feasible low-cost solutions, which allow residents of multi-party houses, with special focus on social housing to profit and participate in the energy transition process and associated trends (e.g. community generation units, exploitation of flexibility). The results of the project are low-cost concepts and business models of community generation units and utilization concepts, tested for their feasibility in a social housing complex. These concepts are based on special requirements of different lifestyles in low-income households and take the framework of social housing such as tenant fluctuation into account.
ReHABITAT-Settlement: Sustainable rehabilitation and activation of a single-family housing estate in Mistelbach
Exploration of a sustainable single-family house redevelopment, with a holistically conceived definition of sustainability that starts with people, is based on sufficiency and also takes into account green and open spaces, social factors and mobility. The result is an integrated overall concept at the house and settlement level, and a transferable approach for other communities.
