Den Kern des Projektes bildet die Erarbeitung einer systemisch angelegten Strategie auf gesamtstädtischer Ebene, die aufzeigt, wie die Stadt Tulln bis zum Jahr 2040 die Klimaneutralität erreichen wird.
Leuchtturm St. Veit - Klimaneutralitätsfahrplan St. Veit/Glan
St. Veit/Glan möchte ein Leuchtturm für andere österreichische Kleinstädte werden und zeigen, wie Strategien, Maßnahmen und ein notwendiger Kapazitätsaufbau für die Erreichung der Klimaneutralität bis 2040 entwickelt und umgesetzt werden können.
Villach KlimaFit - Kommunaler Transformationsprozess zur Erreichung der Klimaneutralität in Villach
Die strategischen Rahmenbedingungen zur Erreichung der Klimaneutralität sind in Villach beschlossen und die Stadt selbst kann bereits auf gute Ergebnisse im eigenen Wirkungsbereich (Gebäude, Photovoltaik) verweisen. Das Fehlen eigener Energie- und Mobilitätsbetriebe, Art und Umfang von Bau/Investitionsprojekten (Projekte von Dritten) und der geringe Handlungsspielraum bei strategischen Entwicklungsthemen (wenig Flächen im Besitz der Stadt Villach) erfordern jedoch die Anpassung (Transformation) kommunaler Instrumente, um Klimaneutralität gesamtheitlich umzusetzen.
Klimapionierstadt Salzburg
Ziel ist es, einen Masterplan zur Erreichung der Klimaneutralität bis 2040 für die Stadt Salzburg zu erstellen. Gemeinsam mit Stakeholdern sollen Entwicklungs- und Städtebauliche Prozesse analysiert, Zielvorgaben erarbeitet und die dafür notwendigen Beschlüsse eingeholt werden. Durch den Austausch mit den anderen Pionierstädten soll ein möglichst breiter Wissensaustausch erfolgen und Synergien genutzt werden.
Klimaneutralitätsfahrplan Feldkirch
Feldkirch hat bereits wichtige Maßnahmen im Bereich Klimaschutz und Energiewende gesetzt. Die Stadt ist Mitglied in einer KEM und KLAR Region und seit 2005 e5-Gemeinde.

Im Projekt wird auf Basis einer zu erstellenden Energie- und Klimabilanz ein Klimaneutralitätsfahrplan für die Stadt Steyr erarbeitet.
Linz mit Ambitio3xn - Linz mit Ambition zur Klimaneutralität: Governance, Infrastruktur und klimasoziales Quartier Franckviertel
Das Projekt "Linz mit Ambitio3xn" unterstützt die Stadt Linz dabei bis 2040 klimaneutral zu werden. Dies soll durch die Ausrichtung von stadtplanerischen Instrumenten auf städtische Klimaneutralitätsziele und die Dekarbonisierung bestehender Gasinfrastruktur im Quartier Franckviertel gelingen. Klimaneutrale Standards für gemeinnützigen Wohnbau werden praxiserprobt und ein gemeinsames Lernen wird forciert.
Altmünster 2040
Die Marktgemeinde Altmünster ist eine der ersten Klimabündnisgemeinden Oberösterreichs, langjähriges Mitglied in der Klima- und Energiemodellregion Traunsteinregion (KEM) und möchte nun als eine der ersten Gemeinden Oberösterreichs eine kommunale Klimastrategie mit klaren Handlungsoptionen entwickeln.
Pionierstadt - Partnerschaft für klimaneutrale Städte 2030
Die Stadt Innsbruck verfolgt mit der Teilnahme an der Mission: Klimaneutrale Stadt das Ziel die Weichen für das Erreichen der Klimaneutralität zu stellen. Neben der Schaffung magistratsinterner Strukturen werden, gemeinsam mit den Stakeholdern, klimaeffektive Maßnahmen im Bestandsquartier „Eichhof“ getestet und anschließend bestmöglich stadtweit umgesetzt. Der intensive Austausch mit den anderen Pionierstädten, die bewusste Nutzung der Synergie und das damit verbundene breite Spektrum an Wissen und Erfahrung sind dabei notwendige Ressource zur Umsetzung dieses Projekts.
Mission2030 – Climate-neutral Smart City Klagenfurt 2030
As Austria's only city, Klagenfurt is part of the EU Cities Mission 2030. Along with Rome, Barcelona, Laibach and other European cities, the Carinthian state capital has set itself the goal of being climate neutral by 2030. A project that is not utopia, but quite realistic! An essential component and backbone of this mission is the Austrian Pioneer Cities Program.

With the mission climate neutral cities the Federal Ministry of Climate Action, Environment, Energy, Mobility, Innovation and Technology has set a focus that will accelerate the achievement of climate and energy goals through research, technology and innovation. As part of this mission, the Environment Agency Austria will accompany and support the pioneer cities in creating a harmonized GHG balance sheet for cities. The harmonized GHG accounting forms the basis for the targeted alignment of strategies and measures to achieve climate neutrality in cities and communities.

Wiener Neustadt Climate neutral
Wiener Neustadt as a pioneering city, is making a conscious and ambitious transition towards climate neutrality. This complex transformation requires different measures. The measures shall both be developed in-house or developed by others and transferred to Wiener Neustadt. The effect of the entire bundle of measures from the different areas (e.g. governance, implementation districts, learning environment or energy, mobility, buildings, etc.) is subject to fact-based climate monitoring.
Linz with Ambitio3xn - Linz with ambition for climate neutrality: governance, infrastructure and climate-social neighborhood Franckviertel
The project "Linz with Ambitio3xn" supports the city of Linz in becoming climate neutral by 2040. Contributing to this ambitious goal requires aligning urban planning instruments with urban climate mitigation and decarbonizing existing gas infrastructure in the Franckviertel neighborhood. In the project, standards for net zero non-profit housing will be tested in practice and shared learning are promoted.
