Im schweizerischen Frauenfeld wurde derzeit das größte Projekt von SynCraft realisiert. Es handelt sich dabei um ein 4xCW1800x2-1000 Holzkraftwerk, das seit Juni 2022 Strom für rund 8000 Haushalte sowie Wärme für die Zuckerfabrik und die Stadt Frauenfeld liefert.

Das bioliq®-Verfahren wurde entwickelt, um aus trockener Biomasse oder Reststoffen synthetische Kraftstoffe und chemische Grundprodukte herzustellen. Strom und Wärme dienen als Nebenprodukte zur Deckung des Prozessenergiebedarfs. Um teure Transportwege einzusparen, kombiniert das BtL-Konzept die dezentrale Erzeugung des energiereichen Biosyncrude durch Schnellpyrolyse mit dessen zentraler Umwandlung zu Synthesegas bei 80 bar im Flugstromvergaser und anschließender Veredlung im industriellen Maßstab zum gewünschten Endprodukt. In der bioliq® Anlage wird das Gas zuerst zu Dimethyleter und dann zu Benzin umgewandelt.

Im September 2019 begann der Bau des Holzkraftwerks vom Typ CW1200-400 in Ternitz bei der Firma KWS Ökokraft GmbH. Trotz Corona-Pandemie konnte die Anlage schon im Juli 2020 fertiggestellt und in Betrieb genommen werden.

100 Kilometer nördlich von Helsinki in Finnland, wurde die erste Eco-gas Anlage gebaut. Die Lahti Energy’s Kymijärvi II Kraftwerk verwndet SRF als Brennstoff. Die Anlage produziert 50 MW Strom und 90 MW Wärme. Der Betrieb startet in Mai 2012.
