It will pay specific attention to intermodal mobility as well as ICT-based solutions.
WohnMOBIL - Innovative living and transport options in areas with high settlement pressure
The objective of the WohnMOBIL project is the promotion of a land-, cost- and traffic saving settlement development and a change of transport priorities (priority of eco-mobility). This shall be reached by the transfer of innovative living concepts like "transitory living", until now mainly used in urban areas, to suburban-rural areas and the interrelation with needs-oriented multimodal mobility concepts.
Exploration of window systems with innovative glass - especially vacuum insulating glass - for building renovation
Exploration of the use of the first fabricable highly insulating vacuum glazing (VG) for highly efficient window systems specifically for the renovation of existing buildings via Verification of the availability and performance of Vacuum Glazing VG worldwide, concepts for structural optimization and thermal simulations of integrated systems, investigation of typical applications and market potential studies and identification of achievable energy savings for single buildings and settlements.
metaTGA - Metadata and process models for open BIM in building service engineering
The objective of this research project is to design a methodology for developing data and process models and to apply them by modelling selected MEP systems. A particular but not exclusive focus is put on the renewable heating technologies, e.g. heat pumps, solar heat and biomass as well as ventilation systems. The data and process models developed in this research project will be scientifically evaluated in two pilot projects. The models, the approaches taken during development and the project team’s experiences with the pilot application of the models will be disseminated openly.
Sol4City - Integrated solar supply concepts for climate-neutral buildings for the "city of the future"
Intelligent technology coupling to achieve high solar coverage of the buildings (multi-storey residential building) heat and electricity demand. At the end of the project, integrated energy supply concepts for multi-storey residential buildings based on high network interaction and flexibility potential, maximum surface efficiency of conversion technologies on site and high economic competitiveness are available for the broad applicability in the "City of the Future".
Biotope City - construction manual for the green city of the future
"Biotope City" is an overall concept for the implementation of comprehensive urban greening with the aim of using the regenerative mechanisms of nature. With this approach, quality of life is to be comprehensively, sustainably and cost-effectively increased and resilience against extreme weather events in cities will be improved. The project aims to generate realistic components of a "construction manual" for the green city of the future, which are generalizable and transferable.
Zero Carbon Village - energy autarcic settlement
Development and demonstration of a totally CO2 neutral and energy self sufficient residential area, produced in prefabricated straw bale constructions. The focus of the research is put on industrialized modular mass production of "Zero Carbon Houses", energy self sufficiency and the use of energy efficient and sustainable materials like straw.
Timber Passive House at Mühlweg, 1210 Vienna
Low-rise housing with 70 units (200 residents) in solid wood plate construction designed to meet European passive building standards. Strategies for highly ecological and sustainable building within the economic constraints of social housing, Mühlweg, 1210 Vienna. Industrial pre-fabrication, ...
Effective Comfort in a Climatic comfort house
Sophisticated implementation of different passive house-building services systems on a basis of four similar parts of a structure of multi-storey dwelling houses.
urban pv+geotherm - Innovative concepts for the supply of large volume buildings/ quarters with PV and geothermal energy
The use of renewable energies in inner city locations is mostly linked to higher costs andconsidered as problematic. The aim of this project was to optimize (cost and energy) heating (and where required, cooling) using geothermic and photovoltaic for an urban, densely-built development area. With the project´s findings it will be easier to ecologically and economically plan the use of renewable energies especially in urban areas.
"gugler! build & print triple zero" - Subproject 7: Integrated General Planning
The aim of the subproject 7 is to aggregate a "normal" general planning process with innovative additional services. In the spirit of integrated planning in the design a higher number of design parameters must be resolved. This is different to a classic planning process with linear and chronological lined up add ons.
aspern Vienna´s Urban Lakeside - subproject 3a: Technology Centre aspern IQ
The demonstration project "Technology centre aspern IQ" showed that the energy required for space conditioning (heating, cooling, ventilation, lighting, hot water) can be covered from domestic energy production.
"gugler! build & print triple zero" - subproject 5: Ecoeffective building
On the basis of the commercial building gugler with 2140 m² useable floor area existing and 3260 m² useable floor area to be built a concept for a 100% recyclable ecoeffective building will be developed.
"gugler! build & print triple zero" - subproject 1: lead project management
The lead project management provides furthermore for sufficient interlinking between the project partners by monthly, by requirement weekly project workshops. Besides the leading project management represents the project gugler to the outward and takes part in workshops of the program management
