Im Dezember 2024 fand an der TU Wien das 3. TU Wien-Nanjing Symposium Tribologie statt mit ca. 60 internationalen Gästen zum Thema neuartige 2D Materialien und Methoden zur Reduktion von Reibung und Verschleiß. Dies ist auch das Kernthema von Task 12 innerhalb des AMT-TCP.

Die Aufnahme zeigt einen FIB-Querschnitt einer Stahloberfläche, die mittels Laserinterferenzverfahren strukturiert und anschließend mit einem 2D Material, hier MXene als Übergangsmetallcarbide Ti3C2, beschichtet wurde. Man erkennt sehr gut die einzelnen MXene Flakes, die sich in den Tälern der Laserstrukturen ablagern.
