Photovoltaic - Industry and Research in Austria

The use of renewable energy sources and especially photovoltaics plays a crucial role in achieving our energy and climate policy goals. Promoting the growth of photovoltaics contributes to the expansion of national value chains and the creation of jobs. For this, it is important to be familiar with the Austrian companies and research facilities and to take a closer look at the PV value chains.

The association Technology Platform Photovoltaics (TPPV) was established in May 2008 as a collaborative initiative involving companies engaged in photovoltaic production in Austria and relevant Austrian research institutions. Its mission is to position Austria as a strong partner in the European solar industry. Serving as a central platform for the domestic PV technology sector, the association provides a comprehensive overview of ongoing and planned activities in this field.
